Hey all! My name's Jess, and I'm 31. I started out with 111 lbs to lose, and now I've got just 24 more to go! To this point I've done it all with diet (eating appropriate portions of only healthy, real foods, no gimmicks) but my loss has slowed down to less than a pound a week so I think I've done all that I can without exercise. And that's my next step!
I put off working out partly because of the kids (3, 2 & a newborn so scheduling is a pain), mainly because I've always hated exercising. I was self conscious at the gym, and I spent a lot of time trapped in that "too overweight to work out" insecurity loop. But I'm out of that mindset- I'm pretty proud of myself, actually. And now that I'm so much lighter I really feel like MOVING, so I expect a totally new experience this time around. I just joined the community rec center, and hopefully my new regular workouts will help me bust some stress, and firm/tone up this new smaller self!
Anyway, it's great to be here, and hey everyone!
