Keep at it. My weight didn't move for a good 6 weeks after I started cardio! It was like my body said "you have tried this before we will see if you stick with it this time!" LOL
Good luck!!

Just want to say I have been there and if I can do it so can you! I am 37, have had 3 kids and I now weigh what I did in high school. I have been maintaining for the last year and have kept within 5 pounds of my goal.

It can and will be achieved! Don't let anyone tell you that because you are 30ish and have had kids that you can't have that high school fab body back. I have done it and so can you!

Run faster, run farther until you hit the wall of realization that you CAN do anything you put your mind to!

Sounds like we're fighting the same battle! Way to go on the nighttime snacking! (One of my weaknesses as well.)

I'm struggling lately but I'm actually in better shape now at 33 than I was in my 20s. What I can't believe are all the new aches and pains. My back hurts, my legs hurt, I'm cold all the time like a little old lady. It's crazy!

Tell me about it! I still have the skirt I wore when I was 18. I'm now 36, and every time I try on that skirt, I feel like crying in frustration!

We feel your pain, Lincolnst! Not only did my metabolism take a dive at 35, but I got this super attractive tire around my waist! Now if I gain a single pound the shelf of fat gets a little bit larger. So, I'm using SP is keep my hands busy in the evening and it seems to be working. I love to eat at night in front of the television and I haven't since last Sunday. Welcome to our group!! I hope you find the support and motivation you need.
Kim

Welcome & good luck.

In addition to cardio, have you tried adding strength training? It has really helped to reduce inches....I'm still working on the last 10-15 lbs. I hope to see get there in about 8 weeks!

New to SP - stumbled onto the site when looking for general diet information. Much to my chagrin, it seems that when I hit 35, my metabolism took a nose dive... in the course of a day. So, here I am, trying to find the body that I left behind somewhere in my early 30s - or maybe even my 20s! Frustrated b/c despite cutting out all the butter and oh-so-fabulous dairy, and increasing exercise, the scale hasn't moved. Maybe it's those pesky complex carbs... Anyway, looking for motivation, education, and my 30 year old self!
