Hi Angelmom and Loren!

Angelmom, sounds like something that can throw anyone off track. Best of luck!

Loren, Sounds like a great goal and a fun reward!!! I'm looking at getting a rain barrel sometime soon. No reason to waste water I could be collecting.

Yo! I'm Loren and I have a "mini" goal to lose 20 pounds.

I've been on spark a bunch. I have lost and gained weight. I'm pretty healthy and active in generally, but the bigness gets in the way.

A little more detail:
I'd like to lose 10 pounds before my trip at the end of September and get my cardio higher for all the stairs.
I'd like to lose 10 more pounds before the holidays and my reward is a double barrel composter :).

I'm pretty excited about that :).

So I am working on cleaning up my eating, eating more mindfully which also means planning ahead and doing more harder cardio.

Hello! I'm a 33 year old very happy woman. I have stable life goals that I am super motivated to achieve and many fulfilling relationships. I don't have a family to take care of but I work 2 jobs, one is full time, and so I have trouble feeling motivated to make meals at home and exercise regularly. I joined spark to regain a sense of control over my weight as I watched 10 lbs creep on over the last year. I am not inclined to make "weight loss" a topic between myself and the people in my life and so this is a good place to go for me to get some motivation and interaction. Feel free to message me if you need someone to bounce back and forth with!

I'm a 37 year old mother of 3 kids, the last being 10 and first being 15. In 2010 I weighed 130 and was comfortable with it but January of this year met me weighing 160. I'm really trying hard to loose that 30 lbs. At the end of January, I was able to loose 5 lbs but am really struggling. The challenges of being a mom and wife and employee means that I end up eating a lot and at odd hours to help me cope. Feeling discouraged.

I can't remember if I ever introduced myself. So I will do it now, and if I have done it before it's been a while so no harm right?
I'm 35 and a mother of one little boy who will be 3 in March.
I lost some of the baby weight in the first year or so post pregnancy, but then gained it back (eating baby left overs and home made Christmas present/baked goods...).
I need to lose 16-17 pounds to get to my pre baby weight. Though my ultimate goal is to lose 29 pounds to get to 130 pounds.
I enjoy walking, (would like to get more into jogging), gardening, following fitness routines on my Wii, gardening and I'm currently into fitness videos on YouTube by/with Jessica Smith.

I'm new to the team. I feel like "10-24 pounds to lose" is a bit misleading, though - I really have closer to 60 lb to lose, but if I set up my goals to lose 60 from the beginning then I feel like it's too much, I can't keep motivated.

So I've decided to set small, 10-lb loss goals and will update as I reach each marker. I expect I'll be in this group a while, because until I get to those last ten pounds until my goal weight I'll always have about ten pounds to lose!

I'm 35, mom to three little boys who keep me busy. I need to lose 20 pounds soon to improve my health. I'm just going to have to make fitness a priority for a few months but I think my kids are old enough to understand why we are going to the gym more instead of playing at home.

Hi all! My name is Terra, I'm 36 and have about 20 lbs to lose to get to my goal weight. I have two active boys, 2 & 5, and this makes it very difficult to find the time to work out. And I really don't enjoy working out...so I'm hoping to find inspiration and motivation in the forums!

I'm Carrie, and I'm 35. I've been away from Spark for about a year, and my body is telling me to get back to it. I have about 20 pounds I'd like to get rid of. I love to run, bike, and do yoga.

Hi my name is Jessica! I am 36 and am looking for a way to keep myself motivated and on track with my overall health. I have used several apps before, but this one seems to be better than the rest. I am new to it and still learning. I always seem to do better when I have someone to keep me motivated, so I hope spark people will be the motivation that I need!!!

Hi. I'm Jennifer. I'm 31 years old and the mother of 2 baby girls. Well, one if technically a toddler (2 years old) and the other is almost 8 months. It has been difficult to lose weight and body fat since having the girls, but I'm working on it. Losing 10 pounds is my main goal, but would love to lose 15. I've already lost 16 pounds since 1/1/15. I had my body fat % measured today and was pretty discouraged. I know I can do better, but need to be pushed in the moment.
PS I am VERY Italian and we celebrate everything with food and I married a chef that love bacon and fried foods. Not the best combination when wanting to lose weight.

Hi!! My name is Lorna and I'm 37 years old with 20 pounds to lose. This is the heaviest I've been in a long time and it's really depressing!! I am new to Spark but I think this will be a very useful tool on my weight loss journey!!
My goals are to plan healthy meals and cook at home the majority of the time, and to incorporate exercise into my life. I am a nurse and I used to have a very active job on a nursing ward, but I recently took a desk job, so definitely need to incorporate activity into my life.
Looking forward to helping each other make our dreams a reality!!

Hi, I'm Cheri and I'm 37 years old and have a little over 20 lbs to get to my goal 0f 149. I heard thats the maximum healthy weight for my height. After I reach that weight I may try for lower but for now I am focusing more on getting healthy than skinny.

Hi! I am new to this! I keep convincing myself of reasons not to lose weight. I am hoping that with motivation from this site, I can finally get on boat with the reasons to lose weight....to feel better...to have more energy...to be able to play with my kids.
Good luck to everyone, and I will post my weight every week, to make sure I keep on target!
Please, keep me in your thoughts and prayers, and I will keep you in mine also

Hi, just realized that I could switch from 30 something with 25-49 pounds to lose, to 10-24 pounds to lose! Needless to say, very happy to be here.

I'm 30 years old, with an ever-changing work and travel schedule, so routine is very difficult for me. Working on making exercise a habit, as well as trying to eat more healthy.

HI everyone.
I have been a member of Sparkpeople for a while now but hadn't logged in for some time. When I recently logged in after 4 years, I realized that my goal weight was still the same while my actual weight was higher than that 4 years ago! Needless to say, it was very frustrating as I have been struggling with my weight for a long time now, even as I age (I was a member of 20 somethings.... until last year!). However, this time I am determined to not fall off the wagon. I tend to exercise a lot, but in terms of diet as well as drinking, I fall off the wagon due to intense work pressure as well as an active social life. But I recognize that these short-term lapses end up reducing the long-term potential fulfillment of my life, so I am determined to do it differently this time. All the best to everyone!

Hey everyone,

I've been on SparkPeople for a long time but now that I'm getting older I thought I'd upgrade my team lol. It seems I'm one of the few non-mothers on here, just living with my boyfriend in Toronto, Canada.

My highest weight was 212 pounds and I'm today at 169... a few months ago I was 150 but I backtracked hardcore in emotional eating associated with depression and anxiety. Starting off slow, my goal now is to lose 6 pounds in 6 weeks (I have a stickk commitment with $300 on the line). My next goal is to weight 150 for a healthy BMI by 2015. My ultimate goal is 143 pounds because I felt really good and not too skinny there in there past.

I'm looking forward to getting to know this community and hope to find support!

Hi, I'm LaShonda. I've been active on SparkPeople since September of 2012. My goal is to shed a total of 80 pounds. I've released 65 pounds so far. I'm down to the last 15 pounds which is proving difficult to let go of. I'm excited to be a part of this team.

Well, I've been on Spark for a few years. Went from 175 to 140. Then got into Vet School and the stress and sedentary life of a student put me back at 150. I'd like to see 135 with a lot more muscle! I was doing great until 2 weeks ago when I sprained an ankle and have been on doc ordered rest. Gained back the 2-3 pounds I had lost. Now that I can get back into it, I have some rules and need to keep the workouts low impact. So here I am! Just wanted to reactivate my membership here and see how you guys are doing! :)

Hi all :-) My name is Melanie. I am almost 35 years old, and I need a change. Yes, I do love sweets, but every now and then should not be a problem, if everything else is okay. I am moving to a new apartment now, so my change will not be soooo good within in the next few weeks. BUT the most important thing is: I HAVE MADE A START!!! :-) I don't want to be a skinny bone, but I wanna be healthy and have curves :-) So I will start to change to the better. hope I am able to keep myself motivated to do so, as none worst than to treat yourself bad, with all the bad food and exercising habits we have. Have a blessed day.. Cheers, Melanie emoticon

Hi! My name is Martha, and I'm also a former runner/powerlifter who sustained an injury and basically fell off the face of the fitness planet. I put on 20 pounds in that time period, my healthy habits replaced by excuses and self pity.
I've got a lot of work to do starting with relearning the building blocks of what makes me happy and healthy. It's really nice to meet you all, and I look forward to chatting.

Hi team,

I just turned 30 and want to lose 20lbs I've gained since 2012. I severely sprained my ankle (high ankle sprain no less, meaning longer healing time as in months) and unfortunately cannot use my left foot at all. I used to be an active runner but due to this injury from CrossFit, cannot do the workouts I used to do. I joined this team to find that motivation we all need to stick to our goals.

Hello,
I'm Priscilla a 33 year old stay at home mom of two girls ages 13 and 11. I am hoping to find motivation on this site to keep me focused on my goal of losing 24 lbs and gaining a healthier overall lifestyle. I am the type of person that needs outside motivation, doing something for myself isn't enough but if I know I will be letting others down by not following though I achieve better results. (I'm kinda hoping to change that too)

Hello all! I am moving over here from the 25-50 pounds to lose team. I'm about half way through my 35 pound goal. I'm 32, live in Maine, getting married in the fall, and getting a crash course in step-parenting while my fiance is deployed until July.

Hi all!

I've been a member of this team on and off for a while. I am looking to change it up a little bit by becoming active with some new Spark teams. I'm a bridesmaid in two wedding this summer, a few weeks apart, and I'm using that as motivation to reach my goals.

Hello, I'm a new mom, trying to get organized to put my health as a priority so that I can teach good habits to my little one as he grows. I have about 15 pounds to lose.

Side question, how do you get one of those goal progress banners as your signature?
