Hello, my name is Amy. I'm 28 and have 3 children. I have been wanting to drop pounds for awhile now. I have never exercised and just started recently. I really enjoy food and never have been able to eat things I want cause I have bad food allergies. I have not much of a clue to what I am doing with eating healthier or exercising. But my plan is to go with the flow and hope I can get pointed in the right direction. I'm very excited about trying to be healthier for myself and my kids. Hopefully I can get this right and work towards this. Good luck to all of yall also!

Hey! My name is Olivia, turned 25 this year and getting married in May. I've always been overweight but I've never really made an effort to lose. With the wedding coming up and we've talked about kids I don't want to start this new chapter of my life with health issues.
My fiancee has general anxiety and OCD so in combination with medication and sessions he has also taken the efforts of eliminating caffeine, alcohol and goes running each night. I'm super proud of him and want to be right there with him.
I come from a line of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and minor problems that I think comes mostly from lack of exercise and poor diet in my family. Currently, I get severe migraines, crappy allergies and work a third shift job (working on changing that!) and I just want to enjoy daily activities.
I want to enjoy this summer by implementing changes in my life and enjoy next summer even more by increasing my capabilities of staying active longer and hopefully see more of the sunlight than I do now.
Personal stuff? I'm from the south, I have a hyper one year old boxer mix, I am in the market for a bike, and I'm a writer. Glad to meet y'all!

Hey everyone! I'm Esset, a 22-year-old paraeducator and I live with my fiance, James.
I've never, not once in my life, been anything short of chubby. I was a chubby baby, a chubby toddler, an extremely active chubby child, a fairly active chubby teen, and I'm a relatively active chubby adult. My body has always been pretty consistently large, and frankly I don't care all that much if my size changes or not. If cool, cool (maybe people will be a little nicer to me, eh?) but if not, that's acceptable.
What's really important to me right now is that, in the past year (with a slew of depressive states and a lot of stress after coming out of an abusive relationship in 2012), I find I no longer FEEL healthy, and while being fat is not new, that certainly is. I've always felt strong, and capable, and these past several months I find that it simply isn't so anymore, and it's sparking my need for a change.
I have a long history of disordered eating (due to body image and self esteem issues) so I'm taking this all very, very slowly. My current focus is working out more (mostly lifting weights) and cutting out most processed foods. It's tough but I feel pretty darn confident that I can make it work.
I'm actually a little worried about weight loss, because I'm getting married at the end of July and I'm *terrified* that I'll be too small to fit in my dress and won't be able to afford to have it tailored, haha! I'm sure I'll manage, either way.
My goals are to up my max lift by 10 lbs every week until I hit at least 100 bench, to do a 15-minute mile by my birthday in September at the latest (currently I average about a 20-minute, and I have asthma so I'm going easy on myself here), and to NOT GET OBSESSED WITH NUMBERS. Seriously. I hate when that happens. Oh, and to up my protein intake because its waaaay too low.

Hi :) I'm very similar to you Brittni, I'm 23, about 222lbs and my weight loss has been a huge thing my whole life. Good idea to have Sunday as your weigh-in day as I have always done Monday or Friday, so I think I'll try that.
My first goal is to reach 161 as I know that's so achievable and I can still enjoy my food whilst maintaing that weight. I've lost weight in the past, I was a UK size 12-14 at the age of only 12/13 years old! I had the summer holidays in with my grandparents in Cyprus with little to do; a swimming pool; lots of sun; and lots of space (to walk around) so I decided to get fit and in turn lose weight. I did lose weight and continued to. I became too obsessed with numbers i.e. steps that I walked, numbers of sit-ups/press-ups, calories and the number on the scale. I also became bulimic - so I'd not eat all day, then binge and then do the bulimic bit. I got down to 8st-8st7 and UK size 6/8. For some people that's fine for them but it's obviously not a healthy size or weight for me to maintain. This was all up to the age of 17. Anyway life happened, I stopped the bulimia and being number obsessive but carried on binge-eating and now I'm here. The binge-eating has calmed down - it's not so extreme i.e. I eat throughout the day but not proper meals but sometimes I start eating and won't stop. It's a bit all over the place.
My downfalls: - Not moving enough - Having no food/exercise routine - Eating too much bread - Eating too much! - Snacking too much
My goals: - Get to 161lbs by 1st October 2014 - Be a UK size 12 - Snack less - Eat foods that benefit my brain and body - 3 pieces of fruit/veg a day (I know it should be 5 but this is can and will be done)
Reasons: - My mum's wedding in 2015! - My graduation this yr (hopefully I will have lost some weight by then) - Summer (again, hopefully I will have lost some weight by then)
Good luck all of you with losing weight! :)

Hello everyone! I am a 26 year old mother of two daughters ages 3 and 5 years old. I am brand new to sparkpeople. I just completed a 6 month battle with non-hodgkin Lymphoma and have had the realization that i need to change how I live my life in a big way... starting with quitting smoking and living healthier for myself and for my kids. I have tried to loose weight before but keeping motivation has always been very difficult for me,especially since my fiance is a junk food junkie and a heavy smoker and i dont have many friends since i moved to Indiana from Missouri 3 years ago and havent had a lot of ability to go out and meet people... I am determined to change my life and avoid ending up at risk for a relapse of my cancer or any other and missing out on my children's lives!! I am a stay at home mother and over the coarse of my chemotherapy i lost about 7 pounds but sitting at around 190 I know that isn't enough but since everything ended i have found that my life style has been extremely lethargic and that is not good for me to I am choosing to change... I am starting out with doing Yoga and the insanity workout dvds at home as my ability to get to a gym or afford a membership is very limited right now... That is no excuse however for not changing my routine and saving my own life and doing what needs to be done! Time to get to WORK!

Hi there! My name is Brittni and I'm 23 years old and brand new to sparkpeople!
My weight loss has been an ongoing journey my entire life. In 2011 I decided to get serious about weight loss and get my health back under control. Iím happy to say that I have successfully lost about 70 pounds since December 27, 2011. At the beginning of my journey I was 278 pounds at only 21 years old. I was doing great with the weight loss journey until I graduated from college last May. Being in college kept me accountable. It was easy to work out at all different times of the day and for extended periods of time. Unfortunately, now Iíve been dumped in the real world with a 9a-6p desk job. With that being the case, Iíve fallen into a very lazy routine that consists of very little exercise and very poor eating habits. Since I moved out of my college environment, Iíve gained about 13 pounds. Definitely in a short amount of time too. I was maintaining my weight until about three months ago. With that being the case, Iíve decided to get back on track. I know tracking my food and calorie intake keeps me on track and accountable for all the calories Iím putting into my body. I also know that I need to get back on a workout routine. Although Iíd love to spend two hours in the gym a day, I know thatís very unrealistic. I plan on spending atleast an hour in the gym every day except Sundayís.
My weigh in days will be on Sunday Ė simply because I wonít blow the entire weekend eating and drinking crappy foods.
I did hop on the scale today and it read 213.6. Definitely not happy with that number considering I weighed nearly 14 pounds less than that not too long ago.

Hello! I'm Kris and I'm about to turn 23 in a few months. I have tried weight loss before and I just can't keep myself motivated. I managed to lose 11 pounds that time and then couldn't drop any weight and gave up. Its hard getting encouragement from my family and most of my friends. This time around I'm going to push myself but having some people actually help encourage and motivate me would help tons.

My name is Ashley. I am 25 years old with a 10 month old baby girl. I have always been overweight and just kind of accepted it. I used to tell myself that if I ever hit 300 my life wouldn't be worth living. Well, when I had my daughter I became depressed after and gained some more weight. I had lost the baby weight the first two weeks out but gained it and thensome afterwards. That got me up to 320 lbs and no, I did not stick with my original thoughts on being over 300 but I did realize very quickly that this size is NOT real world friendly. I don't want to be a size 2 or glamorous, I just want to be healthier for myself and my baby girl. My husband always tells me he loves me for who I am and loves what I look like, but I also need to love myself. My goal is simple. I want to go down just under 100 lbs to reach the weight I was when I met my husband 6 years ago. I have tried all kinds of diets and really, I just hope that some friends and motivation is all I have been missing and that I can do it this time!

Hello! I'm 22 recovering from my 1st c section with my third child. Before I got pregnant this last time I was at my ideal weight. For some reason no matter if I eat healthy or workout or not I always gain 50 plus pounds every pregnancy. I have almost 70 pounds to loose to get back to my goal weight. I remember feeling amazing about myself and able to fit in all the cute clothes without any kind of bulge. I loved it. I looked sexy. Now I am overweight again and desperately wish to loose all this weight as fast as possible. I still have 5 weeks until I can fill on workout so for now I'm working out with moderations of the ab excersises. Wish me luck as I do for all of you!! I know this is hard!!

Hello everyone! New mom here, motivated to lose the baby weight plus some. I was pretty on track until I got pregnant! I've been hiding the last couple of weeks that I became active on the site again because I wanted to establish a habit of working our before building a community. I have now been in the gym or on the treadmill at home every day for the past fifteen days. I'm pretty proud but I have a long way to go.
My fitness goals for this year: End the year at least ten pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight Go from type two obese to type 1 or overweight No specific number on my body fat percentage yet (currently at 41.6%) Run a 5k Climb mailbox peak in Snoqualmie
In case you haven't guessed by the last goal (or if you haven't viewed my page yet) I'm from the Seattle area, just about to move even though I love the city. I'm a waitress by profession and loving life more as I get more active and discover the amazing area I live in outside of the internet. Anyways, that's a long introduction for someone who is just trying to make friends. Happy to start getting to know everyone as well!

Hi! I'm Angela and I'm 27. I've never been skinny- I was unfortunate enough to have sleep apnea as a young kid, not because of weight but because of issues with my nose/throat so I slept all the time, trying to catch up. Fortunately it was something that was corrected by surgery but bad habits are hard to break. I got into cheerleading in middle school and was in pretty good shape then but after college when I started working full time I gained alot of weight. I've been on this site for awhile but didn't commit to it. So anyway.. I just got engaged and I'm hoping that will help motivate me to really make a difference. I have a 6 month old puppy, Orion, who is a rottie/husky mix and he's very hyper so I'm hoping if I have more energy I can keep up with him and maybe if I can get in shape I can motivate my fiance to do the same! I'm such a picky eater sometimes it's very hard to get myself to eat, much less eat healthy so that will be my biggest challenge. Some other things about me- Jim and I love to travel and we are both professional scuba divers, although that's not our full time job at this time. I love the water, I also really love dancing and I'd like to try ice skating (never done it) I'm adventurous and love trying new things, also hoping that if I'm in better shape I'll be able to try some things that would be challenging at this point.

Hi, my name is Heather and I'll be 24 next month! I joined this site about a week ago because I simply can't stand this weight any more. I've had to go out and buy new clothes at least 3 times in the past 4 months or so because nothing fits anymore. Unlike some of you on here, I've never been thin or fit in my entire life. I've always been the pudgy or chunky friend and I'm sick of it. I'm ready to make a change and get the body I've always dreamed of!!!

Good morning, everyone. My name is Carissa. I am 25 years young. I have 2 fabulous children, a loving husband and a crazy blue heeler. I struggle with binge eating/stress/over eating and always have since mid-late elementary school. It didn't really catch up to me till midway through high school. I have slowly packed the pounds thought the years.. Getting pregnant with my two children and marrying a man who loves fast food, quick meals and anything on the go. I am a runner at heart but found that running alone just does not help me at all. Now I have just been asked to be a bridesmaid for one of my girl friends and the pressure to look amazing is on! Any help you can offer on a alternative IP diet for a busy family I would really appreciate! It didn't really hit me how much my eating habits have effected me till I took a look at some recent photos take of my family and realized my once 5'0-115lbs frame is now drowning in goo...
Nice to meet you all :)

I struggle with stress/emotional eating and would really like some help in that area. This is my first time in an online weight loss/support environment...I'm hoping that this will be an accountability tool/check SP before you binge tool. My name is Tara, and I'm 23. I was on here a couple ago and lost over 50lbs. Then life got crazy and I lost my focus. Right now I am back up to 220 lbs (only 10 lbs away from my previous high).
So, anyway, I'm back and its time to start taking care of myself again. I'm pre-diabetic now, which sucks but SP actually is great for tracking all my ratios. I am confident I can get my weight and blood sugar under control before it comes a more serious condition.
As for my goals... I eventually want to lose 85 lbs but I am taking it a little bit at a time.

hey guys! My name is Alisha. I'm 23 years old. In December on 2012 I went to a navy boot camp and feel in love with the military. On the plane ride home I told myself I was going to join before I'm 25. the hard part about this is at that point my weight was 285 and I would need to be 165. :( that's a lot of weight to loss. In December off 2013 I was 215! that was good but then I got lazy. stopped going to the gym and stated eating crap. I also went on a month long vacation. I went back up to 235 :( and that's where I am now. I was thinking that I might be able to find some inspiration on here. Maybe some way to be accountable to someone. so if you have any ideas I would love to know!

Hey everyone my name is Tania, and I'm very happy to have found this site, I can't believe all this time and I barely found a good one. I just recently turned 23. Growing up I did many things I shouldn't of like smoking cigarettes while being asthmatic, reality hit me in the face when I got in trouble with justice and it opened my eyes to see what an unhealthy life I've been living. Recently after quitting cigarettes I got pneumonia, now that I can't enjoy my life how it used to be is when I realized I've been taking my health for granted, now everyday I struggle to breath, plus I have anxiety which makes it worse to breath and exercise. Today I felt like dying... and it opened my eyes to a new reality. I will no longer hurt myself, after becoming spiritual i've decided to have the will power to say enough is enough. I will become active, healthy and I will enjoy my life. My goal is to drop over 80 pounds by September. I am currently 250 lbs and my goal is to be at least 170-160.
My name is Heather and I will be 24 in March. I'm currently at 203lbs, the most I've ever been. Ideally my long term goal is to get down 135lbs by Octmober 2014. I've. struggled with my weight my whole life and am finally fed up!

Hello everyone. I may have posted a long time ago but I will do it again because I am doing this yet another time. My name is Cookie and I am 25 years old. I currently weight 235 and I have remained at that weight for quite sometime now. It is my top weight but somehow the scale doesn't change but my body continues to grow. I have become quite uncomfortable with myself and I have been wearing nothing but yoga pants for a long time now. (I don't fit in anything else right). I would like to get down to 175lbs but a fit 175. I have a problem with sticking to the goal and actually trying to get better. I haven't even been able to make myself get onto Sparkpeople in months either. So my goal is to lose weight but more importantly, get into a working schedule and stay committed to just trying.

Hello everyone. My name is Amanda, I'm 26 from Rockford, Illinois. My lifetstyle is mostly sedentary so any excuse I have to jump up and do something I take it. I've never had trouble with my weight until a couple years ago. I was put on a new medication for my depression and also diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Combined with increased drinking my weight jumped to 193. I never used to think I was a skinny person but I see myself now and realize things weren't so bad before. So my 2014 resolution became to completely overhall my eating and exercise habits. So far I've tried to limit my daily calorie intake to less than 700 and I exercise at least 10 minutes every day of the week. It's been a month and I've remained in this 5 pound range (188-193) no matter what I seem to do. So I'm adjusting things little by little, trying to see what works and what doesn't. My family's planning a cruise in November and I really hope to get down to at least 120 by then. At this point I will do anything about my stubborn weight!

Hello there, I'm Lacie and I teach music lessons as well as doing performances on the side. I've struggled with my weight all my life, a few years ago I lost about 40 pounds; but I didn't lose it in a healthy way so eventually I gained it all back and then some. However, this time around I'm taking the proper steps to losing it and keeping it off! I'm changing my eating habits and just joined a gym today. I know that I can be slimmer, I've witnessed it - now I just need to get back to that size the right way!

Hey everyone, I'm Misha. I'm a 24 year old artist from Texas who works full-time in a call-center 5 days a week. I'll be turning 25 this Sunday. My goal is to lose 98 pounds by December of 2015. I'm going to be taking it slow, and taking it in stride. I guess my biggest goal for now is to change my eating habits and formulate a life-style that I can live by. Diabetes runs thickly in my family, and I don't want to be one of the ones who get it, so that's another thing that I'm watching out for. Within the next six months, I would like to have lost 20 pounds so that I can be healthier when going to my little sister's high school graduation. I've quit smoking, and am starting to cut soda out of my diet, so I know I'm on the right track. I'll keep up with this as much as I can, and keep posting what I eat and keep weighing in. I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Getting there one step at a time. Slow and steady wins the race, right?

Hi! I just finished college (graduated in December) and am now trying to loose the 70+ lbs I put on when I went back to school. I'm almost 30 years old, married, no children, but do have a dog at the moment (boy is she a handful though). I look forward to this site and all the challenges and all the learning! I started working out 2 days a week (cardio) and counting calories about a month ago and am currently working with my doctor right now to try and get my constant hunger and other medical problems under control so it will be a slow start but my goal is to try and get down to 20-25% body fat (I figure I'll get down to 180 lbs see where I am at on the body fat percentage, work down toward 25% body fat, see how it feels and go from there. I don't really care how much I weigh anymore I just am tired of being winded from climbing a flight of stairs, tired of the knee pain, the back pain. I'm tired of not being able to wear styles of clothes that I want to wear etc etc. I eat healthier now (especially over the last 3 weeks) than I ever have before (growing up I wasn't allowed to be big) so I used to be 160 lbs but I lived off of chocolate bars and 12 bottles of orange sodas a day (had to sneak them as my mom watched what I ate at home and I was always hungry and very active). Now I eat half as much, am barley active (physically difficult to be) I just want to feel healthy and feel fit again. I want to feel like how I feel a 29 year old should feel. Right now my 82 year old grandmother can dance circles around me and I just find that depressing. I'm here because my husband and his family doesn't understand my want to change and to drop the weight. They all look at me and say I look fine, that I was too skinny before and that this is "average American woman healthy" but I can't physically do what average women around me are doing so here is to change! A friend of mine (and all her friends) use this site and love it so I thought I might as well try it out. ^-^. The last 8 years have been really hard, I hit my rock bottom 2 years ago and I'm still climbing out, but I've got the will power and the drive to never let anyone tell me what I can't do or who I should or shouldn't be, it's just hard sometimes to remember why I want this and to stay focused. I look forward to getting to know everyone over the next several months and being able to support everyone on their journeys to achieving their goals :)

Hi, my name is Ali. I am 21, I have always been chubby, and I have always wondered what it would feel like to walk without my thighs touching or to sit without my tum sticking out farther than my breasts. How it would feel to run, as long as I wanted, without even thinking about getting winded and having to stop. I don't have babies yet but I want to create a healthy, happy, confident mother for my children yet-to-be. I am lucky enough to have a man who finds me attractive the way I am, but I want more for myself. I want to look in the mirror and think damn girl you are working it. I want to go out somewhere and not think about all the negative things that I project people are saying. I want to feel like an equal. I want to give myself all the opportunities I deserve because this world is always afraid the fat girl will eat away her opportunities and render them useless. No longer, not me, not you. I am in control of myself and I will not permit excuses. Living better today!

I am a 24 yr old mother of 3 wonderful kids and wife to one amazing man. I live in Bassfield, Ms where there is many choices for a healthier life. I am lucky to be just a block away from the Longleaf Trace that spans from Prentiss to Hattiesburg. Beautiful countryside views including horses, cows, and goats. Pigmi goats. I got pregnant with my daughter the summer before my sophomore year in high school weighing 125 and happy. Ok had her in Dec. of 07. Maintained 130 lbs till i got pregnant again with my second daughter. Had her in Feb 2010. Maintained 145 until my son who was born in April 1012. That's when things got rough. During my third pregnancy I weighed 210 lbs. Yup. Well now I can't do anything right. I have taken pills and changed what i ate and even got a job that required I stay on my feet for 8 hrs a day 4 days a week. Well no changed there either. Its now 2014 and I'm still over 200 lbs. I'm depressed, cant sleep, and frustrated. Grr. See frustrated. LOL.

Hi all, I'm a most of the time stay home mom (I teach night classes two nights a week) and happy wife. I've always struggled with my weight, but I didn't have the total lack in confidence in my appearance and physical ability until I had my daughter who's now five. I really want to regain the strength and endurance I used to have and feel better about how I look.
I wish everyone luck in their journey's!

Hello everyone! I'm 26, a stay-at-home-mom from Nova Scotia, Canada. I have type 1 diabetes and have been struggling with my weight most of my life. When I was 19 I lost a lot of weight and felt pretty good about it, but when I was pregnant with my son two years later I gained it all back and more and have not been able to lose it since. I am really happy to have found this site and I look forward to getting to know people! Cheers!

Hello everyone, I'm not new to SparkPeople but I'm just now testing out the waters in the community aspect of the site. I'm at the heaviest that I have ever been and having just finished my bachelor of arts have a lot my time to devote to myself and my health journey. My biggest challenge has been and continues to be consistency and holding myself accountable so I'm hoping that joining groups and becoming active in my SparkPeople teams will help me to build that accountability and consistency! Nice to meet you all :)

HI everyone! I am Meg, 28 and a full time radiology student. I gained about 60 pounds in the past three years from not being food conscious and eating out all the time. I am graduating from my program in May of 2015 and would like to be my healthiest since I was about 19. So between school, Clinicals and studying, I need to make time for working out and taking care of myself. I hope that this community will really help motivate me to get my butt in gear and lose weight. I have started doing some strength training while taking a break from studying, but haven't done cardio in a little bit. So nice to meet everyone!
Happy working out!! Meg

Hi All. I'm Emily. I was always chubby growing up and joined Spark ppl multiple times before now but never stuck to it. I recently turned 27 and have a 14 month old daughter who is my new motivation for fitness. I want to give her the active lifestyle I never had growing up. I actually lost all of the pregnancy weight within weeks of giving birth and then regained it all when PPD kicked in and I ate emotionally to deal with it. I'm now approaching 200lbs and I am not comfortable with it. I don't have the energy to play with my kid and it bothers me. I'm battling food addiction as well and intent on winning because I have to for my beautiful girl, so, in addition to Spark which I intend to use as a weight loss community, I also attend Overeaters Anonymous meetings to deal with the food addiciton. My baby girl turns 2 in 40 weeks so my aim is to drop 80 lbs in that time. Would love to meet a buddy on here who is in a similar situation as I am, so feel free to send me a msg - though I'm not sure how to use all the features of the site yet, but looking forward to learning. Good luck to everyone!

Hi everyone! My name is Victoria. I'm 22 years old. I just joined today and it's my first time on the program. I've been the "chubby kid" all my life and I'm ready to make some changes. I'm a recent college grad and school/studying/stress definitely led to some overeating habits that I hope to break. I'm looking for a great support system so we call all help each other out through this journey. I welcome any tips for success you want to offer and I hope you all have a great Friday!

Hello! My name's Ronnie and I joined because, as part of my new years resolution, I decided that I should improve my eating habits and shed that unnecessary weight. I'm aiming to lose 60 lbs, and keep it off for good! I joined Sparkpeople because I wanted to do more than just look up calories and enter them. I figured it would be much better to make myself accountable for what it is I am choosing to eat, and how much I eat. Seeing the numbers gives me a much better perspective than just guessing. Here's to a great year!

Hi everyone! My name is Shay. I'm 21 years old and have been overweight for a while now. Growing up, I have always been "big boned". During high school, I was at a weight that I was content with. I was 150 pounds and wearing a size 13 in juniors (was a bit curvy too.) After graduating I stayed that size until about two years ago when I met my soulmate. My mom would always tell me "You gain weight when you're truly in love". I guess that statement is true haha. I gained 78 pounds and am now deciding it is time for CHANGE.
Hoping to make lots of friends here and encourage one another that this is our time to shine! We can do this! (:

Hi everyone! My name is Beth and I am 22 and determine to lose 50lbs. I am currently finishing my internship for my music therapy degree and have been battling my weight for as long as I can remember. I find that I just do not have the energy to lose the weight with working 80hrs/week between my internship and job. I go through exercising spurts where I workout for over an hour a day, but never consistently. I am hoping to find the motivation to start consistently taking care of myself!

KSUNFLOWER1912- welcome! It can be hard to find the time with two little ones running around. My girls are 1 and 3 so I feel your pain :) by the time you get home from work and get dinner done your just like ugh I still have to workout yet are you kidding me!? Lol but I promise it is worth it I have so much more energy since I started working out daily and it really shows in my interactions with my kids Iím much more likely to get up and run and play with them now than I used to be and I know Iím setting a good example to them of what healthy eating and and active lifestyle looks like. Sounds like you have a good attitude youíll do great
HHENDRIX4- Best of luck with your goals it can be heard to stay on track when youíre a student but definitely worth it! Make sure you take advantage of service offered at your school most have some type of fitness center. Use dayís off to prep healthy meals and snacks for the week youíll be less likely to reach for quick and easy junk/fast food that way.
DOOODLES66-weddings can be great motivation! My advice to you would be to set small goals though sometimes when we just have our major goal in mind it seems so far off in the distance itís easy to start slipping up small goals will help you stay on track and help you reach your main goal faster!
RELAXINGOUTSIDE- sign up for classes at your local gym, the best place to make friends who will help you stay motivated to lose weight is a place where others share your goals look into running/walking clubs as well surround yourself with positive people and youíll find your motivation again!
SEMPRAROGUE-Yikes thatís a hard situation to be in, do they have healthy options? I guess if you canít bring outside food in I would work on choosing the healthiest options they have available and just make portion control your main focus. Eat good when your not at work and get in a workout 4-5 days a week and youíll start seeing your results. Good luck!
To all the older posts that I missed Welcome and glad to have you all on the team plese feel free to use the daily chat threads to check in and get support from your team mates!

Hello everyone, I'm a 28-year old single mother of two, ages 2 and 4; I also work full time as an Employment Workshop Trainer. My life is busy and sometimes depressing and to be honest, I haven't intentionally exercised in 2 years! I really just want to get in shape and be healthy enough and have energy enough to enjoy my children instead of being frustrated with them because they have energy like they're supposed to. I want to feel good and be able to wear things from my age group instead of wearing oversized everything to hide th jellies....I know it's time, I feel it's time and I am motivated more than ever! This isn't a new year's resolution, it's a life time revolution and I'm ready!

I'm Hannah, I'm 20 and about halfway through pre-med classes, hoping to be an OB/GYN. I've struggled with weight since middle school. I suspect it's mostly stress-related because I tend to level out at a weight and not gain or lose without paying much attention until I hit a stress spike. My main motivation for getting it together is to be fit, not necessarily thin. I miss being proud of my strong legs and shoulders! However, I've also been thinking that I'd better get on the right track before medical school, or I won't have time to create the good habits I need. Right now my goal is to lose 70 lbs.

My name is Carly, I'm 21 and just finishing the last semester of my nursing degree. I started having trouble with my weight in high school and once I stopped playing soccer and my parents started fighting, it all turned downhill from there. I'm freaking determined to lose my excess 60lbs and am so excited to be feeling SO MUCH BETTER!

Hello All! My name is Britt and currently 25. a few years ago I was at 220lbs and in a horrible marriage. Not ever wanting to go home I turned into an outdoor and gym junky. I lost 80lbs in a year and a half. Well after my divorce (YAY!!!) the love bug bit me... and I found my soul mate. He is in the military and was in a different state. After much thought, I quit my job, left my home town, and moved to a new place. This now takes us to last year at this time. staying around 130-140 was easy with the lifestyle I had... but this was something completely new, a completely different way of living. Here I have no work out buddies, no girlfriends to go hiking with. excuses excuses.... As I approach 200lbs on the scale I realized I need to stop making excuses and JUST DO IT!!! Well I have taken charge and started my healthy lifestyle. My goal is loose about 50 lbs. Good job to every one! Continue your progress on a healthier you!

I'm hoping that I can connect with a few ppl to help keep me motivated, so i can be more comfortable with me.

Hi my name is Jose, I am 27 and live in wa state. I have been a big guy most of my childhood. Then I started working out in high school, and joined the navy at 18. I stayed in shaped all of my navy career, but at the cost of spending 4 hours a day in the gym. When I got out, I had a hard time finding a job, so going to the gym was my last priority. In this time I balloned up to my worst weight ever of 280 lbs. I met the women who I would call my wife at my worst weight, and she still loved me for me. I eventualy ended up losing 30 pounds before we got married. This was 2 years ago, I managed to gain 10 pounds of it back. My first goal will be to lose 50 lbs of fat, and quit smoking. this will bring me down to 210 lbs, and from there I will decide if I want to lose 20 more pounds or just maintain my weight. I wish you all best of luck in your goals, and remember it does not matter what other people think. It only matters what you think, you have to be happy in your own skin, no pain no gain.

Hi, my name is Sally and I'm 24 I'm also the mother of a beautiful baby girl named Lilith. I've been heavy since....well pretty much forever. I've tried dieting and exercise before and I did really really well, but I'm an emotional eater. With 3 moves in 6 months, having to live with my parents, and my husband recently going to jail, I've been extremely stressed out. Within the year, I have gone from 240 to 220-200-240. I worked so hard to lose the weight I did. It seems that whenever I get stressed out, I eat, and eat, and eat. My parents run a dairy farm and both of them are very active. My mom used to be heavier than me, but she's been losing weight like you wouldn't believe. Now I'm getting HER fat jeans. It used to be the other way around. I am ready to start eating healthy and working out but this time, I'm not giving up.

Hello! My name is Nichole but I go by Kae( kye, not kay!). I am 26 years old and I have been a bit on the heavy side since I was 12 years old. I have struggled with how to lose weight, how to stay positive, and how to achieve my goals. I used to blame my mother because she would push me so hard to lose weight and instead of trying I would rebel. I recently learned it is my fault, not hers and I need to take responsibility. I feel like I have waken up, and I am finally ready to try this weight loss thing, for myself and for no one else! I hope I can utitlize this site to its full potential, and I hope that I can find suppport and friendship while on my journey to lose weight. Hope we can all be friends! Kae
May the lbs fall off you! (in a Spock voice)

Hi. My name is Amanda and I am 26 years old. I am married and have a two year old girl. I am also a full time student finishing my last semester before entering the nursing program in fall. I was working all last year and going to school and my husband and I went through a lot as well. Things have calmed down now and the stress level has been lowered with me being able to quit my job and focus on school. This allows me the chance to focus on me a little bit and get back on the wagon. I am 195 pounds right now and I am looking to lose 10 pounds at a time until I reach a healthy weight. I love sparkpeople and I love making friends on here, reading blogs and supporting others. All of these things keep me honest and focused so please, if you would like to be friends, add me :) I look forward to getting to know y'all :)
