Hello all :-) I'm a 26 year old woman with more weight that I need to lose than I care to admit. I found myself gaining 10 pounds a month over the past 6 months and I am now in a place I never thought I would be.. At 255 pounds I am ready to get off my butt and lose some of it!! My first HUGE goal is 50 pounds! But ultimately I would like to be 170 pounds, a number I haven't seen since I was a very young teenager.

Hi Everyone!

My name is Angelina and I am 25 years old. I have always been a little overweight, but now it's out of control. I want to lose 60 lbs. not only to look good, but to be healthy. I used to be very active as a teenager, but after high school I stopped. Since then I have done different diets and even took weight loss supplements (which I said I would never do!). I would lose some weight, only to stop and gain it all back plus more. I also want to change my relationship with food. I tend to binge, eat out, eat late, and overall poorly.

Recently (about 1 months ago), I joined a gym and have been very motivated to work out and eat healthy. I have already lost 10 lbs. :) but still have a long way to go!

Hi everyone! I'm Kristin, I'm 28 and I live in Toledo, OH! I'm 5'3 and 187lbs and I need to lose about 50 pounds to get to a good weight. Right now I'm doing Focus T25 and I'm on week 3! I'm so glad that it's starting to get warm out because now I can REALLY start the weight loss process. Lots of walks/runs and outdoor activities! :)

If anyone wants to add me on here, feel free! I could use some hardcore motivation! :)

Hi everybody! I'm aleesha, I'm 24, I'm a marine wife and stay at home mom to a 9 month old little boy! I'm 5 foot and I weigh 189. I am a huge stress and emotional eater! I'm trying to get into working out! I was doing great at first when my son was born and got down to 165, my goal is 120, then due to a medication I am thankfully no longer taking I've been gaining a lot of weight, I gained 12 pounds last month :( hopefully now that the medication is getting out of my system I'll be able to loose weight again!

Hey, I'm back to spark after joining another gym and am ready to *hopefully* lose the weight this time. I could really use some supportive people who are also going through this healthy transition in their lives. I currently don't own a scale so I cannot accurately give my weight but I know its somewhere in the 200's. My plan is to get to 150 and then possibly lower still. I've learned I have to set more attainable goals first so it doesn't seem so difficult to achieve. .. Anyways.. Hi everyone emoticon

Hey hello, names Wendy. I've been on Spark People before and had managed to lose ten pounds before realizing I was pregnant and let it go. Now three years later, I've not only gained those ten pounds back, but almost managed to add on another twenty giving me my all time high of 200 pounds. Now I've joined again with a renewed determination to get to my goal weight of 140. I have a supporting husband next to me, but wouldn't mind a few people to actually share this on going struggle with.

- Where there is no struggle, there is no strength.

Hello, I'm Kimberly from Ohio. I just started last week when I realized that my weight went over the 200 mark and I'm 5'2. It was a wake-up call. I joined the gym, cut out pop, and started eating healthier. My goal is to be around 125-135 by the new year. I luckily have a couple work-out buddies from time to time, and I'm going to try Zumba. The gym I joined has classes for beginners. My boyfriend is very supportive, he's actually paying for me to go to the gym, lol. I would love to have online friends to talk to about this journey, so feel free to message me.

Hi I'm Sarah from Springfield, Oregon. I have tried and failed at losing weight many times over the years. After months of not weighing myself last year, in late December I reached my highest, 260 pounds. On January 1st I was trying to decide if another weight loss attempt was worth the effort again, when I happened to see a post by someone online that had lost 100 pounds, in less than a year, without surgery and without starving herself, I asked her how she did it and she gave me some advice on how to get started successfully. Her success inspired me to try, as of March 31st I've lost 31 pounds. I still have 79 pounds to lose to be within the range of my ideal average body weight, I'm challenging myself to lose as much of the weight as possible by 2015. I have so much more energy and motivation than I did just a few months ago, I still have my bad days but the more I track my diet and exercise the less likely I feel fatigued.

Hi! My name is Kristin. I am a 24 year old mother of a year old son, married for 4 years. I have struggled with my weight loss for a good 5-7 years AT LEAST. I am a HUGE emotional eater. I love diet soda..TOO MUCH. I am currently working on drinking ONLY water. I love to be outside, yet can't seem to exercise like I need to. I am at my largest weight right now. I have tried weight waters 3 times and lose but then put it right back on. I am looking for some new cyber buddies to help and help me with this weight loss journey!

I have a ultimate fitness goal of walking/running a WalkMS 5k in honor of my grandfather who passed from MS in 2011. I am hoping that by my birthday in October, I can see my toes and paint my toenails with out help!

Not sure if I ever introduced myself. But anyway, hi I'm Nyo. I'm 22 years old.

I started off at 264 lbs back in December 2012 and am now down to around 236-239 lbs (not sure, haven't weighed myself in a while) so I've lost almost 30 lbs now which I'm proud of but I still need to do more. I think going to the doctor this time around has really given me the motivation I needed to really take this seriously, especially since I suffered a rather bad accident back in October of last year that caused both my kneecaps to be dislocated.

I am now in physical therapy and have been slowly training myself to walk 'correctly' so that I don't have any accidents like that again. I was walking on the treadmill and using an elliptical machine for a while but stopped because I thought it would be unwise to continue given the condition of my knees but started up again last night with my physical therapist's recommendation to walk at least 60 minutes per day.

My long-term goals are to lose another 80+ lbs, reduce my fat, cholesterol and sodium intake and eat more fiber and iron rich foods as well as drink more water.

My short term goal for now since my knees are still recovering is to walk 60 minutes per day while correcting my bad walking habit (toes in, not toed out).

Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone,
My name is Lauralyn, and I'm back at SparkPeople after being away for a while. I had lost 65 lbs total, but gained back 20 lbs in the last year, putting me at 190 lbs. I feel slightly lost and not sure how to proceed (even though I have the brain knowledge of what I need to be doing, my body isn't so sure it is up to the challenge). I'm hoping being back here, where I can be supported and support others, will get me back on track and to my goal of 135 lbs, which I hope to reach by my 27th birthday in April 2015. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you and to walk this journey together.

Perseverance, perseverance, perseverance

Hello there,
I am brand new to spark people, I am in it to win it this time around. I have said many times before that this is the year or this is the time I am going to lose weight and everytime so far until now I have given up shortly after saying it. this year I am serious....I stopped drinkin soda of any kind on February 18th haven't had even one and no desire for one I do drink raspberry tea now an then but NO soda. I have lost 3 sizes already this year I want to lose a total of 75 pounds more this year I would ideally like to lose 10-15 before june so I can go to fair and ride with my son and I would like to lose a total of 20-30 before July 10th I am making small changes slowly like the no soda, this month I am not eating cheese at all and I am drinking between 2-4 cups of fresh juiced carrots.
if anyone of you have any low impact exercises that will help me lose and tone please share them with me. also I would love to have others to talk to I do not have endless money and don't have a gym membership I can not join one at the moment I can not buy any silly pills or products I can not start selling products because I can not afford it at all so please do not contact me with your product that may help me in any way I want to do this all naturally I know I didn't gain it over night and am not going to lose it over night.

Thank you so much Kim!:) I really appreciate your help.
I completely agree with you, you have to want to do it for yourself!! I've been in the same situation, wanting to lose weight for a friends wedding, or for this or that, but it has never worked. This time I am doing it for myself and my future and I already notice the changes!!
Good Luck everyone!!

Hi Meghan,
Thanks for the congrats:) To change your ticker you go into your account settings. You go to your account/email settings. Right in your information there is a box that says "use metric system" Just take the check mark out! Good Luck! I found the most important thing is doing it for yourself. I've tried to lose weight multiple times for weddings or other events I was attending. It never worked because I wasn't ready. As soon as you're ready, you can do it!

Hi everyone. I'm trying to reengage in SparkPeople and wanted to join this group. I'm hitting just under my heaviest weight and really want to get back on track towards my goals. I'm going to Vegas in June with my family and the Bahamas in the summer of 2015 for a friend's wedding. I'm hoping that these two events will inspire me to get back in shape and lose the 75lbs I've wanted to lose.

Hi! My name is Meghan and I am 25 years. I currently live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and work full time as a Market Analyst.
I joined SparkPeople to help me with my weight loss goals. I have been struggling ever since I started University, where I gained the dreaded Freshman 15 and it has spiralled out of control from there. Not only do I want to lose weight to look good, I want to be healthy and happy! One thing I have learnt, is that I have to do this for myself. I have tried so many times in the past to lose weight but with no success, Each of those times, I wasn't doing it for me. This time I know it will be different :)!!!
By any chance, does anyone know how to change the ticker from kg to lbs?! :) Thank you!!

PS. Hi Kim! Congratulations on loosing 52lbs! That is an awesome accomplishment :)

Hello everyone,
My name is Kim. I've been a member of sparkspeople since 2011. I really only started taking it seriously in August of last year. I saw pictures of myself that I really didn't like. Since then I joined a support group and have lost 52 lbs! I've been overweight my whole life and have definitely done the yo-yo thing in the past. This is the first time I've ever gone this long and stayed committed. I just passed 7 months! While my support group is good, it is mostly older women. I am only 25 so it'd be nice to talk to people who have some of my same struggles. I am pretty lucky because I have a very good support system. I had a very loving boyfriend who is so supportive. Unfortunately, sometimes its hard to explain how I feel to him as he is very thin. Anyways, looking forward to connecting with some people!

Hello everyone!! My name is Lynette and I am a Medical Assistant in Milwaukee, WI.
I love laughter, peace, and love itself. I do not have any children, but I hope to have some(one) in the near future. I want to lose weight not only to look better, but to feel better inside and hopefully escape from my family history of diabetes. I sometimes lack the inspiration for exercising and eating healthy, but I believe I am ready for a change. It will probably take me a little longer than most just because I really love food!! But, nevertheless I am ready to make some changes.
Thanks for the inspiration spark people!

Hi my name is Leslie, I have been trying to find some motivation to stick with a diet long term. I have 2 beautiful kids and a wonderful husband and they deserve for me to stick around for awhile and I need to get healthy in order to do that. I don't have a lot of time after I get home from work in the evenings so I am looking for something that I can either do with my kids around or something that I can do a little at a time. Nice to meet everyone!

Hi, my name is Randi, I have been a member of Sparkpeople for a little while, but once I saw that 250 on the scale I decided it was definitely time for a big change in my lifestyle and way of living. More healthy food + more exercise = Better me. I am ready for this change and I am determined to reach my long term goal. Wishing everyone the best of luck out there :)

I am in the same boat. I love this page because it gives me something else to think about other then food. I just got back into it yesterday and I am 204 pounds now. I just figure that I need to track whatever I eat and be accountable for it. It is so easy to just keep eating and lie to yourself about how much and what you really ate. I'm here for you girl! Just one meal at a time.

I have tried everything out there with no luck. I have tried the counting calories before with nothing to show for it... I am back again for another shot at it.. I am at the lowest of lows as far as my self esteem and the way I feel about myself.... I am 22 years old and weigh in at 230 pounds.. My self esteem is so low that I cant even let myself be naked in front of my husband.. I am ready to do anything and am fed up with myself and the way I have been living... Any help and support would be a huge help....

Good Morning Team and Happy Saint Patrick's Day. My name is Leslie and I am here to loose about 50 pounds. I recently had a baby 13 days ago and am ready to begin loosing the baby weight. I have another child who is 5 years old and it was rather difficult for me to loose that weight. I am here to get started, stay motivated and get down to a reasonable healthy weight. I hope to meet some awesome people on here and good luck to everyone! emoticon

Hello everyone! I'm Sarah and I'm 28 yrs old. For awhile now I've struggled with my weight. A couple years ago I was really motivated and was eating well and exercising regularly. A lot of my success came from having a great network of friends to encourage me and hold me accountable. I'm lacking that now....and have gotten my weight up to where I NEVER imagined it would be (270). :( I stumbled on this site last night and thought that I'd give it a shot, because I need to find something that'll help me get back to where I need to be.

Hey everyone! My name is Megan and I'm excited to be back on spark (after years away). I had my firstborn in January and look forward to becoming a healthier version of me so I can be an example to my son as he grows. My eventual goal is to lose around 70lbs, but my first weight loss goal is to be under 200lbs again.

Hello everyone! :)
My name is Christine, and I'm from New London County CT. I am 21 years old, and I've been struggling with weight loss since I was in my Junior year of high school, when I found out my father had cancer(and it got worse, when he passed away in November of my senior year)... I was a cross country (junior varsity) member, and a varsity track member up until my senior year. Since then I've struggled losing and gaining weight... I now work at a Subway, and struggle worse with eating, but I'm constantly moving around for 8-11hours a day... I am trying to adjust my diet and incorporate more exercise-I feel like I keep getting bigger, and I miss the feeling of "the day after" exercise, where your body hurts so good!!! So I've really got 90ish pounds to lose before I hit my goal. I am 242.9, but am trying to reach my way back to the 250s (less when I get there!) Hope to get to know some of you all!!!

Welcome Megan. I'm Alexandra and seems we have lots of since in comun. I'm 28 years old, going on 29 this summer (Jun 23rd) and my current weigh is 218 lbs. My long term goal is to be 150 lbs, but now I'm focus on getting under 200 lbs which I want to achieve for my birthday.

If you want add me as a friend, it is good to have partners for support and motivation. I've been here for 6 weeks in a row and have lost 12 lbs so far, I keep going one step at a time.

Please don't even think again that you are lack of motivation, avoid negative thought; instead think what can you do each day to get closer to your goals, it doesn't have to be a lot, just a 10 minutes walk, one or two portion of fruits, read a weigh lost success story or a motivational article.

Hi, my name is Laura, my main goal for losing weight is 80 lbs. I've been in between 180-220 since I was around 14 and now my clothes aren't fitting anymore.... Not. Good. :( I have chronic bronchitis from smoking but I am working on quitting, I can't do cold turkey or I would word-slaughter everyone. I also have sleep apnea, chronic depression, and anxiety. Needless to say, it's going to be a lot of hard work and suffering. I'm allergic to chocolate and don't really like sweets so I don't have issues there; however, I LOVE breads and soda/sweet tea. I'm very sedative because I'm a college student who is a procrastinator and I do all of my homework and projects at the last minute. In the meantime, I sit and watch movies on netflix, play on facebook, or jam to music while washing dishes. I am getting married on Halloween of 2015, but I'm not worried about losing weight to look good at my wedding. I want a healthier lifestyle and I'm broke so gyms, no, overly priced fruits and veggies, no. I buy what's cheapest to save what cash I do have. It's nice to meet everyone and I hope your goal is met! I am overall hoping to have a little "support" from the people here, if that's possible. I know myself well enough that if I don't get verbal/virtual feedback it won't happen so here is to trying to lose weight for all reasons! (You can't see this but I'm raising the first bottled water I've drank in 3 years)

Hi, My name is Megan. I'm 28 years old, going on 29 this summer and I have a bit of body dis-morphia. I was thin as a child-all the way to my sophomore year of college. Then I stopped exercising as much and ate like an athlete, even though I wasn't. I never realized I was thin growing up and it wasn't until recently that I realized I had been. I had thought I was chubby as a child because I'm overweight now.

I have had gall-bladder surgery which forced me to eat properly for the first time in a long time. Then I was pregnant and suffered from HG, so I barely gained any weight during pregnancy and in fact stayed around 180-which is what I weighed after my gall-bladder surgery. After my c-section I quickly dropped to 160 pounds in the span of two weeks. I enjoyed being skinnier due to being able to buy smaller sized clothes, but I didn't like the way I looked. Now I'm back at my pre-gallbladder surgery weight of 215.

I would love to be around the 150 mark since that's what I weighed in high school and the beginning part of college. I also would love to be able to do more activities with my 10month old son and model a healthy lifestyle for him. My husband also would like to lose weight but he and I both lack the motivation to really start, so this is me, taking the first step to try and change my life for the better.

Hi everyone, my name is Elizabeth. I'm 23 and getting married this upcoming September. I've always been fairly interested in fitness, but I feel like my motivation comes in waves. I'm currently working more on strength training, which I have neglected in the past. I'm big into meal planning because I feel as though it helps me in preventing bad food choices.

I'm aiming to lose 50-55 pounds by mid-September 2014. My biggest goal is to really tone my body and get rid of extra "flab". I've found that watching the scale has not been entirely effective. My fiance has started taking my measurements and tracking them, which I hope will give me a better perspective.

Nice to "meet" everyone and good luck to you all! :)

Hello, my name is Amy. I'm 28 and have 3 children. I have been wanting to drop pounds for awhile now. I have never exercised and just started recently. I really enjoy food and never have been able to eat things I want cause I have bad food allergies. I have not much of a clue to what I am doing with eating healthier or exercising. But my plan is to go with the flow and hope I can get pointed in the right direction. I'm very excited about trying to be healthier for myself and my kids. Hopefully I can get this right and work towards this. Good luck to all of yall also!

Hey! My name is Olivia, turned 25 this year and getting married in May. I've always been overweight but I've never really made an effort to lose. With the wedding coming up and we've talked about kids I don't want to start this new chapter of my life with health issues.

My fiancee has general anxiety and OCD so in combination with medication and sessions he has also taken the efforts of eliminating caffeine, alcohol and goes running each night. I'm super proud of him and want to be right there with him.

I come from a line of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and minor problems that I think comes mostly from lack of exercise and poor diet in my family. Currently, I get severe migraines, crappy allergies and work a third shift job (working on changing that!) and I just want to enjoy daily activities.

I want to enjoy this summer by implementing changes in my life and enjoy next summer even more by increasing my capabilities of staying active longer and hopefully see more of the sunlight than I do now.

Personal stuff? I'm from the south, I have a hyper one year old boxer mix, I am in the market for a bike, and I'm a writer. Glad to meet y'all!

"You know how you eat an elephant?" my grandmother would ask, "one bite at a time."

Hey everyone! I'm Esset, a 22-year-old paraeducator and I live with my fiance, James.

I've never, not once in my life, been anything short of chubby. I was a chubby baby, a chubby toddler, an extremely active chubby child, a fairly active chubby teen, and I'm a relatively active chubby adult. My body has always been pretty consistently large, and frankly I don't care all that much if my size changes or not. If cool, cool (maybe people will be a little nicer to me, eh?) but if not, that's acceptable.

What's really important to me right now is that, in the past year (with a slew of depressive states and a lot of stress after coming out of an abusive relationship in 2012), I find I no longer FEEL healthy, and while being fat is not new, that certainly is. I've always felt strong, and capable, and these past several months I find that it simply isn't so anymore, and it's sparking my need for a change.

I have a long history of disordered eating (due to body image and self esteem issues) so I'm taking this all very, very slowly. My current focus is working out more (mostly lifting weights) and cutting out most processed foods. It's tough but I feel pretty darn confident that I can make it work.

I'm actually a little worried about weight loss, because I'm getting married at the end of July and I'm *terrified* that I'll be too small to fit in my dress and won't be able to afford to have it tailored, haha! I'm sure I'll manage, either way.

My goals are to up my max lift by 10 lbs every week until I hit at least 100 bench, to do a 15-minute mile by my birthday in September at the latest (currently I average about a 20-minute, and I have asthma so I'm going easy on myself here), and to NOT GET OBSESSED WITH NUMBERS. Seriously. I hate when that happens. Oh, and to up my protein intake because its waaaay too low.

Esset -- 22, engaged, ukulele playing nerdosaurus.

Hi :)
I'm very similar to you Brittni, I'm 23, about 222lbs and my weight loss has been a huge thing my whole life. Good idea to have Sunday as your weigh-in day as I have always done Monday or Friday, so I think I'll try that.

My first goal is to reach 161 as I know that's so achievable and I can still enjoy my food whilst maintaing that weight. I've lost weight in the past, I was a UK size 12-14 at the age of only 12/13 years old! I had the summer holidays in with my grandparents in Cyprus with little to do; a swimming pool; lots of sun; and lots of space (to walk around) so I decided to get fit and in turn lose weight. I did lose weight and continued to. I became too obsessed with numbers i.e. steps that I walked, numbers of sit-ups/press-ups, calories and the number on the scale. I also became bulimic - so I'd not eat all day, then binge and then do the bulimic bit. I got down to 8st-8st7 and UK size 6/8. For some people that's fine for them but it's obviously not a healthy size or weight for me to maintain. This was all up to the age of 17. Anyway life happened, I stopped the bulimia and being number obsessive but carried on binge-eating and now I'm here. The binge-eating has calmed down - it's not so extreme i.e. I eat throughout the day but not proper meals but sometimes I start eating and won't stop. It's a bit all over the place.

My downfalls:
- Not moving enough
- Having no food/exercise routine
- Eating too much bread
- Eating too much!
- Snacking too much

My goals:
- Get to 161lbs by 1st October 2014
- Be a UK size 12
- Snack less
- Eat foods that benefit my brain and body
- 3 pieces of fruit/veg a day (I know it should be 5 but this is can and will be done)

Reasons:
- My mum's wedding in 2015!
- My graduation this yr (hopefully I will have lost some weight by then)
- Summer (again, hopefully I will have lost some weight by then)

Good luck all of you with losing weight! :)

Charlotte

Hello everyone! I am a 26 year old mother of two daughters ages 3 and 5 years old. I am brand new to sparkpeople. I just completed a 6 month battle with non-hodgkin Lymphoma and have had the realization that i need to change how I live my life in a big way... starting with quitting smoking and living healthier for myself and for my kids. I have tried to loose weight before but keeping motivation has always been very difficult for me,especially since my fiance is a junk food junkie and a heavy smoker and i dont have many friends since i moved to Indiana from Missouri 3 years ago and havent had a lot of ability to go out and meet people... I am determined to change my life and avoid ending up at risk for a relapse of my cancer or any other and missing out on my children's lives!! I am a stay at home mother and over the coarse of my chemotherapy i lost about 7 pounds but sitting at around 190 I know that isn't enough but since everything ended i have found that my life style has been extremely lethargic and that is not good for me to I am choosing to change... I am starting out with doing Yoga and the insanity workout dvds at home as my ability to get to a gym or afford a membership is very limited right now... That is no excuse however for not changing my routine and saving my own life and doing what needs to be done! Time to get to WORK!

Hi there! My name is Brittni and I'm 23 years old and brand new to sparkpeople!

My weight loss has been an ongoing journey my entire life. In 2011 I decided to get serious about weight loss and get my health back under control. Iím happy to say that I have successfully lost about 70 pounds since December 27, 2011. At the beginning of my journey I was 278 pounds at only 21 years old. I was doing great with the weight loss journey until I graduated from college last May. Being in college kept me accountable. It was easy to work out at all different times of the day and for extended periods of time. Unfortunately, now Iíve been dumped in the real world with a 9a-6p desk job. With that being the case, Iíve fallen into a very lazy routine that consists of very little exercise and very poor eating habits.
Since I moved out of my college environment, Iíve gained about 13 pounds. Definitely in a short amount of time too. I was maintaining my weight until about three months ago. With that being the case, Iíve decided to get back on track. I know tracking my food and calorie intake keeps me on track and accountable for all the calories Iím putting into my body. I also know that I need to get back on a workout routine. Although Iíd love to spend two hours in the gym a day, I know thatís very unrealistic. I plan on spending atleast an hour in the gym every day except Sundayís.

My weigh in days will be on Sunday Ė simply because I wonít blow the entire weekend eating and drinking crappy foods.

I did hop on the scale today and it read 213.6. Definitely not happy with that number considering I weighed nearly 14 pounds less than that not too long ago.

Hello! I'm Kris and I'm about to turn 23 in a few months. I have tried weight loss before and I just can't keep myself motivated. I managed to lose 11 pounds that time and then couldn't drop any weight and gave up. Its hard getting encouragement from my family and most of my friends. This time around I'm going to push myself but having some people actually help encourage and motivate me would help tons.

Hi, my name is Katie. And through years I lost weight, gained weight etc.And now I realized that sometime on the way I stopped being myself. My life consists of comfort overeating, reducing my life to surviving not living. And I do not want that anymore. I tasted life I know how good it feels and want it back. So next year on my birthday I wan to be happy, healthy and normal weight...

My name is Steve. Being 29 I suppose I only have 8 more months of this group. LOL Anyways a little about myself, I work in auto parts and sell AVON My goal is to be 165 (or toned up) by my birthday as a gift to myself. 165 seems so far away right now but I know it'll happen just have to keep working at it.

My name is Ashley. I am 25 years old with a 10 month old baby girl. I have always been overweight and just kind of accepted it. I used to tell myself that if I ever hit 300 my life wouldn't be worth living. Well, when I had my daughter I became depressed after and gained some more weight. I had lost the baby weight the first two weeks out but gained it and thensome afterwards. That got me up to 320 lbs and no, I did not stick with my original thoughts on being over 300 but I did realize very quickly that this size is NOT real world friendly. I don't want to be a size 2 or glamorous, I just want to be healthier for myself and my baby girl. My husband always tells me he loves me for who I am and loves what I look like, but I also need to love myself. My goal is simple. I want to go down just under 100 lbs to reach the weight I was when I met my husband 6 years ago. I have tried all kinds of diets and really, I just hope that some friends and motivation is all I have been missing and that I can do it this time!

Hello! I'm 22 recovering from my 1st c section with my third child. Before I got pregnant this last time I was at my ideal weight. For some reason no matter if I eat healthy or workout or not I always gain 50 plus pounds every pregnancy. I have almost 70 pounds to loose to get back to my goal weight. I remember feeling amazing about myself and able to fit in all the cute clothes without any kind of bulge. I loved it. I looked sexy. Now I am overweight again and desperately wish to loose all this weight as fast as possible. I still have 5 weeks until I can fill on workout so for now I'm working out with moderations of the ab excersises. Wish me luck as I do for all of you!! I know this is hard!!

Hello everyone! New mom here, motivated to lose the baby weight plus some. I was pretty on track until I got pregnant! I've been hiding the last couple of weeks that I became active on the site again because I wanted to establish a habit of working our before building a community. I have now been in the gym or on the treadmill at home every day for the past fifteen days. I'm pretty proud but I have a long way to go.

My fitness goals for this year:
End the year at least ten pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight
Go from type two obese to type 1 or overweight
No specific number on my body fat percentage yet (currently at 41.6%)
Run a 5k
Climb mailbox peak in Snoqualmie

In case you haven't guessed by the last goal (or if you haven't viewed my page yet) I'm from the Seattle area, just about to move even though I love the city. I'm a waitress by profession and loving life more as I get more active and discover the amazing area I live in outside of the internet. Anyways, that's a long introduction for someone who is just trying to make friends. Happy to start getting to know everyone as well!

Hi! I'm Angela and I'm 27. I've never been skinny- I was unfortunate enough to have sleep apnea as a young kid, not because of weight but because of issues with my nose/throat so I slept all the time, trying to catch up. Fortunately it was something that was corrected by surgery but bad habits are hard to break. I got into cheerleading in middle school and was in pretty good shape then but after college when I started working full time I gained alot of weight. I've been on this site for awhile but didn't commit to it. So anyway.. I just got engaged and I'm hoping that will help motivate me to really make a difference. I have a 6 month old puppy, Orion, who is a rottie/husky mix and he's very hyper so I'm hoping if I have more energy I can keep up with him and maybe if I can get in shape I can motivate my fiance to do the same! I'm such a picky eater sometimes it's very hard to get myself to eat, much less eat healthy so that will be my biggest challenge.
Some other things about me- Jim and I love to travel and we are both professional scuba divers, although that's not our full time job at this time. I love the water, I also really love dancing and I'd like to try ice skating (never done it) I'm adventurous and love trying new things, also hoping that if I'm in better shape I'll be able to try some things that would be challenging at this point.

Hi, my name is Heather and I'll be 24 next month! I joined this site about a week ago because I simply can't stand this weight any more. I've had to go out and buy new clothes at least 3 times in the past 4 months or so because nothing fits anymore. Unlike some of you on here, I've never been thin or fit in my entire life. I've always been the pudgy or chunky friend and I'm sick of it. I'm ready to make a change and get the body I've always dreamed of!!!

Good morning, everyone. My name is Carissa. I am 25 years young. I have 2 fabulous children, a loving husband and a crazy blue heeler. I struggle with binge eating/stress/over eating and always have since mid-late elementary school. It didn't really catch up to me till midway through high school. I have slowly packed the pounds thought the years.. Getting pregnant with my two children and marrying a man who loves fast food, quick meals and anything on the go. I am a runner at heart but found that running alone just does not help me at all. Now I have just been asked to be a bridesmaid for one of my girl friends and the pressure to look amazing is on! Any help you can offer on a alternative IP diet for a busy family I would really appreciate! It didn't really hit me how much my eating habits have effected me till I took a look at some recent photos take of my family and realized my once 5'0-115lbs frame is now drowning in goo...

Nice to meet you all :)

My name is Colton and I am 23 years old. I am a former athlete who just let it all go. I would like to lose 60 pounds and find that athlete somewhere deep down. I struggle with stress/emotional eating and would really like some help in that area. This is my first time in an online weight loss/support environment...I'm hoping that this will be an accountability tool/check SP before you binge tool. I am a spiritual person and I hope that this journey will only solidify the love that I have for God. I appreciate your help in this journey!

Hello everyone!

My name is Tara, and I'm 23. I was on here a couple ago and lost over 50lbs. Then life got crazy and I lost my focus. Right now I am back up to 220 lbs (only 10 lbs away from my previous high).

So, anyway, I'm back and its time to start taking care of myself again. I'm pre-diabetic now, which sucks but SP actually is great for tracking all my ratios. I am confident I can get my weight and blood sugar under control before it comes a more serious condition.

As for my goals... I eventually want to lose 85 lbs but I am taking it a little bit at a time.

hey guys! My name is Alisha. I'm 23 years old. In December on 2012 I went to a navy boot camp and feel in love with the military. On the plane ride home I told myself I was going to join before I'm 25. the hard part about this is at that point my weight was 285 and I would need to be 165. :( that's a lot of weight to loss. In December off 2013 I was 215! that was good but then I got lazy. stopped going to the gym and stated eating crap. I also went on a month long vacation. I went back up to 235 :( and that's where I am now. I was thinking that I might be able to find some inspiration on here. Maybe some way to be accountable to someone. so if you have any ideas I would love to know!

Hi my name is Evelyn. I am 20 years old, and ready for a new start in life. Over the past few years I have been very unhappy with myself, and I finally hit rock bottom with it. That's when I knew that it is time to make the change. My biggest problem is motivation and support, I do not get a lot of that at home, and that's what makes it so hard.

Hey everyone my name is Tania, and I'm very happy to have found this site, I can't believe all this time and I barely found a good one. I just recently turned 23. Growing up I did many things I shouldn't of like smoking cigarettes while being asthmatic, reality hit me in the face when I got in trouble with justice and it opened my eyes to see what an unhealthy life I've been living. Recently after quitting cigarettes I got pneumonia, now that I can't enjoy my life how it used to be is when I realized I've been taking my health for granted, now everyday I struggle to breath, plus I have anxiety which makes it worse to breath and exercise. Today I felt like dying... and it opened my eyes to a new reality. I will no longer hurt myself, after becoming spiritual i've decided to have the will power to say enough is enough. I will become active, healthy and I will enjoy my life. My goal is to drop over 80 pounds by September. I am currently 250 lbs and my goal is to be at least 170-160.

Hello everyone. I may have posted a long time ago but I will do it again because I am doing this yet another time. My name is Cookie and I am 25 years old. I currently weight 235 and I have remained at that weight for quite sometime now. It is my top weight but somehow the scale doesn't change but my body continues to grow. I have become quite uncomfortable with myself and I have been wearing nothing but yoga pants for a long time now. (I don't fit in anything else right). I would like to get down to 175lbs but a fit 175. I have a problem with sticking to the goal and actually trying to get better. I haven't even been able to make myself get onto Sparkpeople in months either. So my goal is to lose weight but more importantly, get into a working schedule and stay committed to just trying. emoticon
