Hello everyone.. im almost 30 and had my 4th child 6months ago. He was a sick baby and had to stay in for 2months and during that time I gained some extra weight. But im readybto lose this last 24 pounds. Its been a real struggle but im gonna win :) plus need to look great for my 30th bday lol

Hi, I'm a 26 year old mum of two trying to lose the baby weight. My girls are 3.5 years and 6.5 weeks.

I lost all the unwanted weight last year, kept it for 5 months and gained it all back due to final year stress. Now I have 10 kgs to lose. %, if I want to be in a healthy BMI range.
I know I can get back to it. But the scale just doesn't move. I keep trying though.

Hi!
I'm also new to this site and to this team. My name is Marleen and my goal is to lose 20 lbs which I've gained over the past three years. I want to feel confident about myself and to feel good about myself when I look in the mirror. My main problem area is my stomach, but hopefully doing lots of cardio and a bit strength training with healthy eating will help me get rid of the fat in that area. :)

Hi everyone!

I'm 23 years old and trying to lose 20-25 lbs. In the past 2 years I've gained over 40 lbs. My starting point was a bit too low, but now I just feel sluggish, tired all the time, and very soft. I'm a runner and the extra weight is definitley slowing me down and making running harder. I lost 8 lbs doing low carb about a year ago, but I gained that and more back pretty quickly. I need to get out of this cycle and am hoping joining the SP community will help!

Hello! I am new. I am 25 and looking to lose somewhere between 20 and 25 pounds. Usually I keep in decent shape, gaining in winter and losing in summer. Normally I fight wildland fires during the summer months, but after not getting picked up on a crew this year, I got in a funk, got sad, sat on the couch and ate my way up 20 pounds. Now with the summer approaching I want to be able to hike and swim and do fun 5k runs that I don't usually get to do because of the demands of a job. I want to get rid of the middle, gain some self-respect, and not hurt when I move. Looking forward to meeting people with similar goals in mind. Hope everyone is doing great!

Hi I'm Ashley and I'm 20 :) I came home from school about a week ago and was at 172 and currently am at 168 (small but great). My first goal is to reach 150 and that is the goal I'm focusing on now. I work at my local gym so I don't really have any excuses about going to the gym so I hope to reach my goal and keep going to be happy and healthy!

Hello all! New to the site. I'm 5'7"-ish and played Division 1 athletics in college so I had a lot of muscle to lose. Started at around 160 about 6 weeks ago, now down to 145, trying to get to 125. I am Amanda and I am looking to lose up to 30 lbs. I have gained a lot with my work always providing fattening food and working late hours with no time to cook and little time to work out in the evenings. I am not a morning person but I am trying to improve so that I can get in a better work out. I got married 6 weeks ago and much to my dismay only gained weight leading to the wedding and honeymoon due to stress, most likely. I love wine, so my biggest feat will be not having a nightly drink and limiting myself to only one or two drinks once per week. Starting yesterday, I am getting on track. I am starting off small, with getting back to eating at home (I do cook healthy when I get the chance to cook!), not having my evening drinks, and getting just 5 minutes of cardio every morning (I will try to add to this time weekly) and shooting for 20 minute walks daily. I am 5'2 and as of this morning weigh 143.6 lbs which is 10 more than I thought I weighed. My goal weight is 115 lbs.

I normally keep myself motivated but have been struggling. I am reaching out to the community to talk to people about the daily struggles and successes so that I may stay on track.

Hello!

I just joined this site, and am in need of SERIOUS weight loss before a cruise in July! Trying to lose 20 pounds by then, but having trouble doing it on my own. I am 5'8 and 170 pounds. I would appreciate any kind of support system! I am a college student and do not have much time to workout, and obviously eat a lot of crap food. Changing my lifestyle is going to be difficult, but I WANT/NEED to do this. Help!

Hi

I live in Yorkshire in the UK and I am wanting to rid myself of the bit of weight I have gained since being on a new medication. I aim to lose around a stone, but will be happy to lose more if I can!

I am focusing making my self exercise a lot more. I used to always be active, but with circumstances in the last year I have been sat on my butt a lot more! Currently doing the Skinny Jeans challenge, and also trying to do cardio every day, or at least every other day. Going to look into more challenges also!

Hello all!
I'm new to SparkPeople, wanting to lose about 25 pounds before my 27th birthday in May...and before my husband & I start a family. My goal weight is 130, but I'm not sure if that is attainable with my body type...I'm quite busty. My biggest complaint is that I gain in my midsection- and I don't want this muffin top.

I was pretty active when I was younger, but now I have a sedentary office job. I'm also currently working on my Master's degree, so that is an additional 6+ hours/week of sitting in class, along with my homework load. I'm struggling to find time to workout, and all my at-home workouts are boring. I've tried P90X & Insanity, but either find the exercises too difficult to complete (I can't do proper situps or pull ups) or don't have an hour + to spend working out daily. I'm also terrible at getting up early to workout, because working out at home in the dark is not motivating, and going to the University gym isn't practical for me in the mornings.

I find that I have trouble eating my veggies, and love carbs way too much. I cook from scratch most days, as I don't buy processed meals or meal kits. Most of the time I eat leftovers for lunch, and when I have class we have leftover for dinner. We eat out/get take out only 1-2x per month at home (always making at least 2 meals out of the order), and at work I may order Jimmy Johns 1-2x per month and even less often we try out a new restaurant around town. Generally, I think I have a pretty healthy diet and healthy attitudes towards food.

I swear that every time I start working out & tracking my food, I gain weight. Its extremely discouraging to see that. I'm hoping I can find something that works this time!

Hi! I'm Jacquie from Indiana. I'm 27 and my metabolism isn't what it used to be. I play volleyball a couple times a week and coach 11 yr old girls in volleyball. I've been going to the gym on my lunch breaks as well. My biggest issue is eating healthy. Even with all of the working out I do, nothing seems to help me lose the extra weight. Hi everyone! My name is Ellen and I am 23. Since the summer of 2012 I have a sedentary job and went through some stressful events, which made me gain some weight. I want to go back to my 'original' weight, because right now I don't feel particularly good about myself. I've been a heavy girl all my life, and A few years ago I managed to get myself to a happy and healthy (for my 5'8 frame) 145 lbs ( I got down to this weight for my wedding) but 4 years have passed, and while I haven't gained it all back, I've put 20 on, and I need to nip this in the bud before it becomes a huge problem. Mom has type 2 diabetes, dad had a brain aneurism at 55. I do NOT want to go down that road. Fingers crossed that I can find some support and guidance here. Hi, I'm 25 and trying to get to my goal weight after putting the pounds back on after having my second son. I got to my goal, healthiest and fittest I had ever been after my first by doing WW old points system. I went back to WW about 8 weeks ago, and all in all, have lost 3lb despite my best efforts... I don't like their new system! So, I have decided that taking matters into my own hands using Spark People and tracking everything that I do in one place MAY just help me out a bit. Here's hoping anyway!

Hi ! I'm Kayla, just turned 24 years old and I'm more fit now than I've been since I was 12. When I was that age, my dad passed away and I gained weight from a combination of not being physically active and eating unhealthy. I've probably went from being 148-156 lbs from the age of 13 to 22. Before that, I was originally 120 lbs. Anyways I dropped out of college and moved home with my boyfriend. He stressed me out so much I lost around 30 lbs. Just kidding, it wasn't just him. My job is extremely physically active most days and I walk everywhere. So now I'm 127-129 lbs, and I'm 5'2". Although that is a healthy weight range, and I'm happier with my body now than I've been in what seems forever, I'd like to get to 110-115 so that I can at least get rid of all the fat left. I just really want to be healthy and fit. So, hello everyone ! That's me. :)

Hey everyone, I am Savannah 25 and with 1 child. I have been on a weight loss roller coaster since having my daughter 3 years ago and in Sept.2013 I weighted more then I did while 8 months pregnant and had told myself enough is enough.... Since Sept. Hello! I'm new to SparkPeople. I joined to get help getting healthier and getting back to what I weighed in my early 20's. I've already lost 40 pounds on my own but these last 20ish pounds are kicking my butt! I also model vintage clothes and it's kind of disheartening when I'm presented with a cute dress and it just won't zip the whole way. I like to work out but I love food even more! I'm Michael from Birmingham, England.

I lost 60 kg in 11 monthes from 2012 - 2013. I have had about 9 monthes just relaxing on controlling food but still been hitting the gym for fitness and weight training twice most days.

I have 15kg to lose to get to my 89.9 kg target.

Hello,
I originally signed up with sparkpeople in 2008 just to maintain my weight and live a healthier lifestyle.... fast forward six years, a wedding and two babies! Now I have a goal of 20 pounds to lose to get to my pre wedding and pre pregnancy weight. :)

Hello,

I am a new member to this group. I am 29 years old looking to lose about 17 pounds before my 30th birthday in June. I think this is doable. I'm looking to loose about 0.5-1 lb a week to meet my goal.

My name is Mary and I'm an almost 29-year old bride-to-be! On April 5, 2014 I will marry my fiance Drew in Fort Worth, TX :).

I have used SparkPeople in the past to help me lose a few pounds, but now I'm back because as my wedding quickly approaches, I have reached my highest weight ever! I have 20-25 lbs to lose to feel my best on my wedding day (and my honeymoon!), and I know SparkPeople can help me do it.

In addition to wedding planning, I am currently in the late stages of training for a December 31 half-marathon with some girlfriends. Hi my name is Sarah, I am 24 years old and I have always loved working out especially when it's a workout that challenges my body. I got down to 120 for my wedding this past August but then when we moved into our place together, neither my husband or myself were able to workout and we started to back slide into bad habits and not exercising (we have put on a bit of weight), due to all craziness. hi my name is Christina! I am a writer and a stay at home mother of two! my son's name is traegan he is 6 and in the first grade ! and my daughter is 3 her name is chesakah and she is my litte mini ! I have struggled with a lot of bad habits growing up, before becoming a mother (drinking, drugs, sleep disorders, depression/anxiety) and ive conquered them all except for my weight .its been a rollercoaster and though I lose a few lbs here and there it would never stay off! but im defiantly improving ive lost and kept off 11 lbs in the last two months but im not quite where I want to be ! Hey, I am new to the team!

SparkPeople put me into the 25-something pounds to lose 20 something group, even though I am only needing around 18 pounds.

Hi my name is Jacindra I'm incredibly new to this site and am trying to figure it all out lol any ways here's a bit about me and why I joined this site. I'm looking to improve the way i live life though eating habits and more positive thinking. I'm not terribly overweight I'm 5'1 and weigh 138 so just a few pounds actually and I'm really not that unhappy with the weight as I've always been very skinny... To skinny. I had to see a nutritionist in march of 2012 to help me gain weight and well the plan succeeded after about a year I went from 97 lbs to 138 lbs and really the only problem i have currently with my body is I'm not in shape anymore and I would really love to be more toned and be able to exercise and enjoy it and not feel like it's something forced.

Hi, my name is Brittany! I signed up for SparkPeople a long time ago, however didn't put enough effort into it---or my health. Now I'm back at it again! Since last year, I've lost a total of 20 lbs. It's taken me a long time of going back and forth, but I think I've got it all figured out now.

I grew up very active and ate pretty healthy. My main problem was portion control. I had no concept of it. Sad to admit it, but now I know how to eat properly to lose and maintain weight. I took up ice hockey when I was 14 years old. I've been playing ever since then. But recently, my weight and conditioning failed me terribly as I took the ice. I thought I might die. So my focus became losing the weight and trying to get back into the shape I once was.

Made pretty good progress so far....Let's see if I can keep this up!

Hi everyone ^_^. My name is Sandy I am 24 (turning 25 in December). I live in the Cayman Islands where I work 40 hours a week sitting most of the time at a desk. Before I started this job 3 years ago I've always been a steady 120 with no effort but since my lifestyle changed and I became mostly stationary I gained 30 pounds and had to buy new clothes because my old tops and bottoms didn't fit me any more.

I joined SparksPeople about a year ago but didn't properly start using it until a few months ago, before then earlier in the year I had cut back vastly on my soda drinking and for awhile had only been eating small meals (e.g cereal for breakfast instead of cooked meal, sandwiches for lunch instead of buying fast food) and I believe that's the reason I had went down from 150 to 140. Now at 136 I've started working harder to return to my original 120 and I've been doing that through watching what I eat, drinking more water and doing exercise videos on youtube (I like CafeMom workouts even though I am not a mom they really have me sweating). I am not very good at sticking to goals though. After four weeks of almost daily exercise and losing 2 pounds I have been slacking (no exercise for a week).

I don't want to give up like I have done in the past. I have date set of when I want to reach 120 and I am already behind, I'm not sure if I will reach my goal on time but I want to come close at least. Hopefully joining a team and getting support will keep me on point.

Call me Sandy. My goals are reaching and maintaining 120 pounds, running a 5K race and performing 48 push-ups in a minute.

Hello, I'm Cassandra. I am 23 years old and this year I'm finally trying to full fill my goal of losing weight and being healthy. I've been overweight for as long as I can remember. Starting when I was about 13 years old, continuing to climb until I was 22, 5 feet tall and 210lbs!! I couldn't stand it any more, so I did something about it. To this day, I have lost 75lbs, out of a goal of 90. Feels amazing. However, I have been sitting at the 75 loss mark for about 2 months now. Hey!! I'm Jisha. I'm 26 and i weigh 74kg,(the highest i have weighed till now :( ) I have started with loads of fitness programs, but have failed to stick with it. My motivation usually leaves me in the morning when i get up. But now its time to shake things up a little. I hope to find all the motivation i need here. I'm gonna start JM's 30 day shred from tomorrow. Not the first time that i started, but this time i hope to successfully stick with it.

Hello everybody! I'm Caryn. I joined this group forever ago, but have been totally inactive. I'm ready to be a part of all the awesome group motivation! I stay pretty active, but have never been successful at sticking with focused weight loss efforts. Hopefully y'all can help me stay on track and I'd be happy to do the same for you!

I'm 27. I'm more than halfway done with medical school (woohoo!). I like to run and be outside with my dog, Waffles. I recently discovered Pure Barre and am totally hooked, so hopefully that will help with getting in shape!

Excited to be a part of this group. Good luck to everybody!

Hello everyone! I am a 29 y/o Registered Nurse with a 5 month old baby. I spent some time in the Army so I was extremely fit and in shape. I got out of the military in 2010 and I've tried to maintain that healthy lifestyle....I think I've done a good job. In May I had a baby and now I am trying to get back on the right track. I have about 20 pounds I'd like to loose. I hope that with support and motivation on this journey I can achieve my goals. I've been struggling with motivation so having people rallying around me will be great!! BTW I'm running the Army Ten Miler in the middle of October.....this was one of my goals!

My name is Tiffany, I'm 24 years old, and I'm determined to get in the best shape of my life! I've been running for a few months now, but I'm still working on the whole healthy eating and tracking food thing. I'm also working on getting rid of 10-15 pounds, but I'm not sure if I can do it alone. I could use the extra motivation, so I'm excited to follow you all on your journey. Hey Everyone! I'm Meredith. I am 24 y/o pharmacy student (but I graduate in May!!). I have never fully been happy with my weight, but currently am struggling because despite healthy eating habits I cannot manage to drop the 15 pounds I would like to. Hoping that this will be the start!!

Hi everyone!

I'm Brittany, a 29 y/o hospitalist nurse practitioner. Have been gaining weight steadily over the past year due to work stress and getting a doctoral degree. Need to reintroduce regular workouts to my routine! Would love to have an accountability partner if anyone is interested. :)

Hey everyone! I'm carey - I'm 27 and have gained about 10 lbs in the last year after starting my nursing career. I could lose 20 and still be at a perfect weight - so that's my goal. I've been struggling a lot the past few months to eat better under stress at work. Trying to find some accountability, advice, and motivation :)

Hey! I'm Adrienne. I'm 28 and have creeped up to a weight I am not happy with. So I need to get back into things and tracking my food and excerise has helped me in the past, so here I am. I would like to lose 10-15 pounds.
