Hi Rozy, it's nice to meet you! I've spent a lot of time in Jacksonville, it's a beautiful town. We used to go out to Applegate Fellowship every week and always enjoyed driving out in that area. I have heard of TOPS, and I've often thought of joining myself. I need something to help me stay accountable, because my appetite seems to run my life! I was thinking about Weight Watchers, and then my husband got laid off from work (an all-too-common story these days!) and it just wasn't financially realistic. I read about Spark in a magazine and decided to give it a try. So far so good!

Hello Nonimc,
How are you? My name is Rozy, Iam here in Jacksonville and loving it! I too need to lose and feel I have been tring for years. This is my year! I have made alot of progress and believe I can do it. Now that we are back in Southern Oregon to stay, I feel I have more time. My mother in law has been with a group called "TOPS" Take off pounds sensibly. My husband and I and our daughter Joined up in July. That was our trial, we are loving it and it is very motivating. I have set my goals now for the new year and hope I can stick to it. The group meet every Saturday morning, we weigh in then have a short breif meeting, visit and go home. I get emails from members and I text members through out the week to see how we are doing. Hopefully when it gets a little warmer, we can meet up and walk around Jville and or other towns. I have been a member of Sparks for years and I love the nutritions spot on here too. I would love to keep in contact with people on here to get motivated and to help motivate others.

Welcome to SP!
Congratulations on becoming a grandma! While I am loving the time I have with my 8 year old...I am excited for the day I get to be a grandma! :)

Southern Oregon Team is a bit quiet...but those who are here are very nice! I ran a 5K with Parnili and Kclark last year....though I haven't seen much of Kclark for a while...but then I wasn't here for a while too...I was busy gaining back 30 pounds...ugh!

Well, I'm new to Spark, and so far my favorite part is the nutrition tracker - I like the way it lays it all out right in front of me, everything I eat and everything I gain from it (good and bad!). I've already learned I don't get enough magnesium, so I know that's one of the things I need to work on. But I'm ready to make some friends on here, people who will be an encouragement to me and whom I can encourage. I'm almost 52, have a married daughter, who is about to make me a grandmother for the first time, and a gay son. My hubs and my kids are my life. At this point in my life I have more weight to lose than I have to keep, so I guess I'm in this for the long haul! I would love to hear from anyone who is interested. Thanks!
