TLC refers to Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes. It is based on reduced saturated fat. I am on a low fat, high fiber diet.
Thanks for your advice, however, I am already on fish oils. I take the capsules.
Several years ago I tested really high for Triglycerides. I was put on medication (Lopid), but my doctor also told me to take 1000 - 1200 mg of fish oil both am and pm. I've been off the meds for a long time now, but I still take the oil. I prefer capsules, but it also comes in liquid form, which my DH says is better.
What is the TLC diet? I'm intrigued...

I was just informed by my doctor that my triglycerides are over 600. She put me on a medication called Tricor and informed me that I needed to change my diet. I spoke to a nurse who advised me to go on the TLC Diet. I am doing well even though this requires me checking food labels more carefully then before. Please keep me in prayer.
Does anyone have any advice for me? Does anyone have any experience with this diet?
