today my family really do not know what they are in for.... today is Stir Fry veggies with boneless chicken breast and for desert it strawberries, blueberriies top withpound cake. They just don't know what they are in for what a meal they will not even recoginize.....

Welcome, My only advice to you is, don't think along the idea of you being on a diet, it is a life style change, and once you start cooking with that in mind, your family will have to go along with it. Why should you cook a healthy meal for yourself, and be content to cook an unhealthy meal for your family, just because they don't want to try change.

There are so many good recipes on the Spark recipe page, I would hazard a guess that your husband wouldn't even notice. Go to the library and check out cook books on cooking light or healthy cooking copy the recipes with the ingredients that he will eat. You sound as if you have made your mind up that you want the weight off, so with a good mind set you can work around such a problem as a picky eater husband.
Hi and welcome to the team. You know I was worried at first and then I learned that my husband didn't even realize the changes I had made. I started making vegetarian chile with garden grillers in it. He was convinced it was ground beef initially. I started substituting ground turkey for ground beef and he was happy. Now he brags to people about how healthy his diet is because I finally fessed up on what I was doing.

I am new to te team I like to cook but unfornetally I am the only one in my house that is on a diet. I enjoy getting recipes and trying them especially if they are for dieters. I am a mother of three children and my man is very picky of what he eats which is fine withme because I eat food that is healthy now and I admit it was so hard at first. But now it is so easy for me to fix them a meal and myself a healthy meal. They don't eat like I would the yogart, 2 to 4 servings of fruit and veggies a day, but my man is not what you call need the fitness type he is healthy. I just would like to lose my weight......
