Entering foods does take time especially at the beginning. I have so many of my personal favourites in the tracker. I am diabetic and prefer the diabetic tracker.
I did not use te suggested meal plans i entered my own.
I have a favourite breakfast I put in every day for a week. if i want a change i just remove the multiple choices and replace with what i ate or will eat.
When you have number of your own foods in the tracker hitting favourites will get you there as soon as favourites are loaded.
I had added a number of my own foods in there. ' I do Categorise some. Like BREADS then what they are so I can get to them quicker. These are foods you enter if you buy a product in a box, jar or bottle. And if it is not in the original data base.
It really does take time but it does get better once you have at least some of your personal favourites in there. Did you see the video about tracking. Pat .

Hi, Pat!
What a great story. All that by loosing weight and improving your diet and lifestyle!

I have trouble getting around the site. Seems slow, and entering food eaten is slow and the buttons respond inconsistently. Am I doing something wrong?

Slow and steady wins the race.

emoticonGood morning.
I was in the health care field in England where i grew up. I was a diagnostic Radiographer. Long name for an X-ray tech trained to read X-rays.
Trained in physiology hygiene and nutrition.
I thought I was eating so well. No junk food, it was never available anyway, I am too old for that.
My problem was great food, just too much of it. In my mid 60's I was diagnosed with. Hypertension, Cholesterol issues but my big deal was type 2 diabetes.
I was on meds when i found this site,
Using the Tracker I have managed to get off Diabetes-Metformin, High BP meds gone. My HDL and LDL are in range. Triglycerides are down but not enough to give up meds yet, It will be soon though.
I am also down 50 pounds and feeling great. I was also could still be Asthmatic but the Dr said no need to buy inhalers. i have an EPIPEN. My last expensive inhalers were as needed and they expired unused.
That is what Spark has done for me. I had tried others most of which had me put on weight. The emphasis here is the EXERCISE it make a really big difference.
Without that i would not have the energy or the great pulmonary function. This place had been a win win situation for me.
That is why I love to encourage others. I know that it works if you stay Motivated and determined it happens. Pat in Maine.
