Well, most jobs in Japan you have to pay your own air fare, then you need about 2-3,000 for the fist month before you get paid. I have a lot of friends with jobs in Japan, and everyone has told me you need about that much for start up costs.

My favorite yaoi is manga by Naono Bohra. She has a unique style and interesting stories. She also often has Uke's who are older and taller than the Semes. ^_^ One good one of hers I can think of off hand is called 'denki' or 'electricity'.

I like Junjou Romantica too. I like Misaki the best.

Hello! I am new to Spark People, and because Japan is such a big part of my life thought I should be in a team where we can talk about it.
I was a Japanese major in college, lived there for about 8 months with host family. I just graduated June 2009 and am trying to make my way back to Japan. I'm very poor so the 3,000 minimum I need to get a job there is quite a challenge! I also do not want to be over weight when I go back to Japan. I've found being a 'fat person' in America is quite different from being one in Japan!

I have varying interested in Japan, from classic stuff to anime. I have the biggest interest in Japanese literature, feminism, and Boys Love (Yaoi).

Thanks for making this group!
