I haven't been in Okinawa for about 30 years now, but I would love to go back! My Mom says you can't tell when you are 80% full, but to quit eating before you are full. Thanks for the welcome.

Hello and welcome to the team! Wow, that is wonderful that you've been able to experience the Japanese culture and values first hand. A number of us on the team would love to just be able to VISIT Japan.

This team is fairly quiet, but we've added at least a half dozen new members over the last month or two. I suspect it won't take TOO much to get them talking if we come up with some interesting topics.

The practice of "Hara Hachi Bu" sounds like something I could really benefit from. But how can you tell when you are 80% full?

Welcome to the team!

I spent some time in Okinawa with my father and step mother who is Japanese and from Okinawa. I love the culture and family values. I also love origami which I started doing there. I am trying to live by there philosophy of "Hara Hachi Bu" (Stop eating when 80% full).
