Hi, I'm back, looking for support to get back on program. For some reason over the past few years I got away from the plan and tried other programs - with no success at all. So now I want to get back to what did work for me.
I have moved a few times and lost my program information. I've sent an email to support to see if I can get another one. In the meantime, I will do what I can to recall the program and with the use of this forum I'm sure I will be successful.

Hi I am Karen, I am a repeat offender and I am hoping to find some encouragement like I used to get at the provida forums. I will join in on the daily threads and hope to get lots of ideas and give encouragement myself. I am 51, live in Maine and have about 50 lbs to lose to get back to my best weight loss of 100lbs. Excuses are a dime a dozen but I am just recovering from shoulder surgery and thinking if I get my eating back in control the rest will come. I welcome any help/advice! K-

Hello!
My name is Mary and I have been with Spark a year and a half. Between on my own before joining and Spark I have lost a little over 100 pounds and need to lose one hundred more. About ten years ago I successfully did the 6WBMO and lost 29 pounds! I know it is difficult and rigid but it works and I think there is success due to most allergens removed...think about it, no wheat, corn, dairy or nuts! And no soy in many cases! I would like to give it a go again and am gearing up and thought joining the team would help me!
Good Luck to all!

Hi my name is Stephanie and I am a returning SparkPeople member and 6 wk body makeover alumni. I have been doing the hcg drops since last August and managed to get 50lbs off by my goal which was Christmas. I lost about the same amount of weight the last time I did the 6 wbmo. I am wanting to do this again because of the success that I had. I am hoping to be successful again. I am wanting to keep off what I lost plus another 50 lbs this year.

emoticon Angela and live love and respect to our team. I hope that you will reach your goals on six weeks. I did lose 106 lbs but kind of went off plan to try other plans, been under alot of stress, getting burn out and being very tired, been turning to foods lately and gain some weight back. Am now back on my plan.

Hi, my name is Melissa and I am glad that there are people to be found here that do the Six Week Body MakeOver plan. I did this program about 6 years ago and lost 80 pounds but I gained some back...not the program's fault, but my own. When I decided to lose what I had gained back I joined Weight Watchers but lost nothing in 2 weeks. I have lost about 7-8 pounds in the last week alone, so I am glad to be back at it!

I did 6WBM a few years ago and lost ALOT of weight but then I never went to the maintenance phase and fell off the wagon and gained it ALL BACK and then some. I am determined to do this again because I have been on allot of "diets" and lifestyle changes and I looked my absolute best when I was following this program. Not to mention that I ate really good and healthy and if my hubby and I want to have a baby soon I will not have to do anything different when i get pregnant as far as my foods. So.... wish me luck..

Hi my name is Didi... I just started the program last Wednesday... and I have lost 4 lbs (5days) .... I haven't seen that happen for along time... I am a type B and I have gone Gluten free a few yrs ago.... so not eating bread wasn't hard for me.... I did drink alot of tea with sugar and now I just drink my water and black tea.... I'm not hungry and I have alot more energy ... I'm very impressed... ~smile~ also I will mention that I have had two treatments of RAI for my Thyroid .. so I do not have an active thyroid ... I take medicine now... and haven't had something that has worked at taking the weight off in a very long time... I'm starting the 18 min workouts this week... I'm just so excited to find something that is working... emoticon

Hi Michele Welcome to our team. There should be a blueprint that came with your kit, you can retake it over again. You can keep trying to take the blueprint on the Provida web site, sometimes you are able to take the blueprint and sometimes you can't. I started out as type A and because I have lost over 100 lbs and just retook the blue print and now it is telling me that I am type B and have been following it for three weeks now don't know if it is working or not as my weight goes up and down especially when I give in to a binge.

Hi my name is Michelle and I am trying this again. I only lasted a week the first time before I gave into cravings. But I lost about 3-4 pounds that first week. I was a body type C. I tried to re-do my blueprinting, but cannot find where to re-do it. Everything directs me to buying the system, which I already have. I need to lose almost 60 pounds and want to so this!

Hi Dcroselle Welcome to our team and please join us in daily chat and we are usually there most of the time and if there is any thing that we can help you with for any thing as that is where you will find the most support. I am Sharon and I was type A for a year and I have lost all this weight and redid the questions again and now it is telling me I am type B and am now on my second week of type B. Try to follow the plan strict as you can especially the first week is where you will lose the most weight and drink all your water as that is important. This team is pretty amazing and there is some really great people here.

Hi All,

New to this group. I actually ordered 6WBM a couple of years back and never actually put it to use. While recently cleaning out my closet, I ran into it again and decided that I will FINALLY stop making excuses and do it. I just hope I still have all the parts of the system to actually make it work. This group will certainly put me on check and be my ongoing encouragement. Excited! emoticon

Hi New2011

It all depends on the dvd and how long it is. I work out to couple of dvd's my self and I work out six days a week to something different every day. Mon. I do hip hop, Tues. I walk to Leslie Sanone, Wed. I usually use the dumb bells or bands, Thurs I walk for 30 minutes, Fri, I do zumba and Sat. work out to wii walk it out for 45 minutes.

Thanks guys for all of the support. Is the exercise on the DVD effective enough for weightloss or should I find other exercise to do in addition too the tape and band?

Hello to our NEWEST members!!! Sorry I didn't see your posts sooner! We are a very open and friendly team - no judgement here - just positive support! We don't all do 6wbmo but all started with it.

We also have some real BIG winners here - Sharon for one (Bluewater) at almost 100 pounds and Momma3monkeys (125 pounds so far). They are by far the biggest inspiration someone like me could find. I didn't have as much to lose but MT got those first 20 pounds off pretty quickly and just in time for a vacation - it was GREAT!! Now I've spent the last year piddling around with the last 10. I'm pretty sure once I get to goal I will keep coming here so I tweak my maintenance habits and never find myself oversized again.

Jump into our daily chat thread - and let us know how your managing and what you need help with!

I am Sharon and I am type A and I have lost 34 lbs in seven weeks in Jan. and now it is the middle of Nov. fast forward I have lost over 90 lbs and still need to 30- 35 lbs to get to my goal. It is very important that you stay on the plan for the first 6 weeks as the first week that is when you will lose the most weight then it does slow down Do excises, drink all your water and follow the plan as close as possible the way it is written. I am the type of person that is always trying something different every couple of months so I didn't lose 90 lbs just on six weeks but I always do come back to six weeks as I get better results with it than other plans. You can join us in the daily chat and if you have any questions or need support there is a great amazing group of people here. We always have different challenges going on here too and you can always join us for that too.

Maybe you haven't reached all your goals yet-but who has? And maybe you've made a few mistakes along the way-but who hasn't? You have every reason to feel proud of who you are. Notice your triumphs, big and small. There are so many.

Hi everyone my name is Nina and I have been snooping around here for about an hour and decided to join already. I have had my 6WBM kit since the early summer and had not opened it up until now. I guess I didn't really pay much attention to it because my mind set was here is yet another program I am going to utilize and lose a quick 10 pounds but nothing more. However, after reading some of the success stories and looking at the DVD's enclosed in the kit I am optimistic.

I have a lot of weight to lose and a long way to go. I am tired of dieting and doing the quick fix however, I NEED to lose weight. I am going to be honest I am a person driven on immediate gratification so this is going to be my biggest challenge . I can say that I can at least commit my self to a 6 week challenge the program is designed around to see if in fact I will lose the weight. I know I wont lose 150ls in 6 weeks so I am realistic in that but I am hoping to at least lose more than the 10 pounds I keep recirculating lol.

I will need encouragement and welcome all of it. I look forward to learning and losing with you all. Thanks for listening and wish me luck!!!

Hello All!! Im new to the 6WBMO program. I just started yesterday and I have already lost 8lbs! I'm sure this is water weight, but I'm still surprised and excited. A downward change in the scale is always motivating. I cant say that Im sticking to the plan 100%. I'm a nursing mom, so I've made some very minutiae changes. I just want to make sure I'm doing enough to sustain me and my little one. I joined Spark back in 09...lost 40+ pounds on my own with diet and exercise...then I got pregnant...lol...you know how the story goes. Now I have a new game plan that I really think is going to work for me!! Wish me all the best! Look forward to getting to know you all! emoticon

Take it one day at a time...and every day...try again.

Shaleen and Katherine WELCOME and WELCOME BACK! This is a great support group. Join us in daily chat ..... Sharon and M3M are our current AMAZING POPPERS! The rest of us try to do the best we can :) The plan works if you stick to it! If you really stay POP for those first 6 weeks you will FEEL so much different that you will want to continue to reach your goals. The energy alone made me realize what refined sugar and salt do to my metabolism. I was practically a rock growing moss when I started and would MUCH rather have natural energy to face this crazy world every day!

Hi - I'm back for a second time to this group. I lost (one of the kids threw away) all my 6wbmo stuff so I ordered one on eBay. It is missing the streach band, but otherwise complete.

My grandaughter Samantha and I are doing 6 weeks together. She stays with me Mon - Thurs for college classes.

I had originally lost 36 pounds on my first round with 6wbmo and it stayed off.

My hope is to retire in 2012, so I'm trying to get healthier and lighter to reduce medical issues. I turn to my faith in the LORD JESUS for strenght.

Thanks for having me :)
Kathryn

Hello.... My name is Felicia..

I just restarted my 6WBM plan today. It's officially my 2nd time around giving it a true effort. I love this plan and I know it works if you stick to it.

My plan is to stay POP and exercise at least 5 days a week. I just need some help staying motivated and I am hoping that I will make a few buddies in the process.

Hi...my name is Terry and, a few months back, a friend told me about the Michael Thurmond 6-week Body Makeover. Though I really didn't think it sounded like enough food and something I could stick with, I was at my rock bottom so I decided to give it a try. I've been on every diet around, but for the FIRST time, I finally feel like I have an "answer" to help me lose weight and to keep it off. It's more than enough food and I'm rarely ever hungry. I started the plan on May 31st and, so far, have lost 42 pounds. Last month, for the first time in my life, I joined a gym and have been going several times a week. Can't say I'm loving that, but I'm determined to give it my best try. emoticon

I have just joined this team and wanted to introduce myself. I'll go over on the chat thread next. I did the 6WBMO in the past and it worked well. .. fell totally off the wagon for years, yes years. now I've been trying to simply watch calories and eat less processed food, less carbs. BUT it isn't working well lately.
I've decided to get back on the 6 WBMO and trying to re read everything and remember what worked for me best.

Hi FUTURENAVY and RENEWED_CHEF. My name is Leeanna aka LA aka Izonprize!
You can call me whatever you like
emoticon We all have nicknames on Daily Chat 2011 so please come to that thread as well, and introduce yourself to our little team. I started on 6WBMO on Sept 7, 2010. I am still on it. It has become my lifestyle way of eating now. My husband also is on it since Sept 7 and he is doing fantastic maintaining his weight loss. I still have about 8 pounds to get to goal and have really slacked off on being purposeful as I was in the beginning (not a very good leader, I know!). BUT, I am always reaching for my goal and lost 1 pound this week of the 8 to go, so WOO HOO. Anyway, come to our chat thread daily, because accountability and encouragement is something we all need to succeed! BEST WISHES!

Hello all! I am brand new to the 6WBMO, and I just ordered my kit this morning. I am sooo beyond excited to start this, and I'm looking forward to the support here on SP. I am 26 yrs old and I weigh 309 lbs. I started my weight loss journey on June 1st and lost 20 lbs the first month, and lost 8 lbs in the month of July. For some reason my body slows down weight loss the longer I diet, so I needed something to jumpstart my loss. Enter the 6WBMO :)

Hi everyone! I have tried many diets prior to 6WBMO, but never stuck to them more than a month. I feel this is the program for me because it explains the science behind the methods emoticon . I am a certified chef so I am fully aware of what I should eat and whats best for me, but never really followed a structured plan designed for my body type (type B by the way). I received my package a few weeks ago and plan on starting tomorrow 08/01/11. I have been unhappy with my body for quite some time, and I feel that I'm at a point where I need to take ownership for my situation and do something about it emoticon . I'm looking forward to starting this journey and I pray we all reach our goals!

I'm (finally) starting this program after purchasing it months ago... I honestly can't even remember if I posted here when I first bought it. I have about 70 pounds to lose. At 5'5" and 210 pounds, I'm not quite at my heaviest, but almost.

Today is my first day on plan. I haven't felt hungry at all, and have had my 100oz of water already. I have two problems/questions though...

1. My son is TICKED. I've never been the kind of mom that has white bread or potato chips in the house, but this is a major change for all of us. He will be 9 next month, and honestly, could benefit from a more healthful way of living himself. He is about 5'2" and 140 pounds. My daughter, who is 4'11" (ish) weighs closer to 85 pounds, and is having no problem adjusting (so far). How do I make this easier on him while still providing good on plan options and without cooking separate meals?

2. I have a feeling this is going to get very expensive. I have a food budget of about $300 per month (my kids spend about a quarter of the time with their dad). How am I going to make this work???

Thanks, Cecilia

Hi! I'm Gina and just getting back to spark after a long absence and have started 6WBMO this week. I live in central Illinois, am a teacher, am married, and have three children. I was always thin growing up and didn't put on weight until pregnancy. The baby weight never really came off but I really started to gain once I hit 40 or so. Then came pre-diabetes, high blood pressure and to top it all off I'm doing the menopause thing too. I've tried Atkins', Sonoma, and counting calories, but none of that has helped. I'm hopeful this will be THE PLAN that does it as I have much weight to shed. Thanks to everyone in advance for the support I know I will find here.

Welcome again Amy I live in Beach Lake PA. Where did you live in PA? That is great when your husband is very support of you and goes along for the ride as it make the big difference when your husband or wife is very supportive of you.

Hi everyone! I'm Amy.
I'm new to the team, but NOT to the 6 week body makeover! I bought my kit back in 2008 (I believe) and did really well on it..then fell off the wagon bcuz I'm a sucker for any new diet out there...yep, I'm a yo-yo'er ;) but after trying COUNTLESS diets and reading countless diet books I've come back to the 6 wbmo bcuz it makes sense and it works as long as you work it and stay on track!

I have a lot to lose but I'm trying hard not to focus on the whole number so I don't get discouraged!

A little about me...I'm a mother to 5, I have a wonderful hubby who is my soul mate and is VERY supportive of me and my many diets I've tried over the years, and is always along for the ride ;) he is my support system, and my workout partner,,,needless to say he's only got about 20 pounds to lose maybe but he always sticks it out with me...my children are 18, 13, 11, 7 and 5. My 18 yr old graduated high school this year (in may) and is learning that being an adult is both challenging and rewarding...my other children are also learning that eating right is the way to live (my 7 yr old is like me...a little chunky, and the other 3 are just like their dad..SKINNY)
I live in South Carolina, but was born in PA. I love it here in the south and doubt I'll ever go back home.
Our family spends a lot of time at the lake in the summer so looking good in something that resembles a bathing suit is a project I'm working on lol..

Anyway, I'm here to give and get support while finally winning this battle of the weight once and for all!
I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and finally win this fight!!

Welcome TBLKMON and Kat2010 emoticon to our team. I am Sharon and just complete six weeks for the fourth time. I don't know how to set the tracker closest to 6wbmo and it seems when I track my calories I am any where from 800 - 1000 and most of the time I don't have the last snack unless I am really hungry. Maybe other members of our team can help you with that. Come join us in the daily chat and right now we have a challenge with Andy boot camp. TBLKMON I don't think you will be weak maybe the first few days till your body get use to it as you are not having sugar, salt and fat and getting rid of junk food as six weeks effect people differently.

Maybe you haven't reached all your goals yet-but who has? And maybe you've made a few mistakes along the way-but who hasn't? You have every reason to feel proud of who you are. Notice your triumphs, big and small. There are so many.

Hi - I had lost over 35 pounds on the 6 wk BMO in 2008 - then fell away and have now decided to get back on because it is the only thing that really works for me.

I have to find my book, recipe cards and purge the kitchen then shop.
I work full time so it will take a bit.

I like Tuesday as a weigh in day so I will weigh in tomorrow though it may take me a couple more days to get ready.

I have been on Sparkpeople for a long time - I like this website better than the Providia. So glad to find this team here!!

Anyone know hoe to set the food tracker settings closest to the 6wbmo?

I live in Ohio. Thanks!

Hello, i'm restarting today, (never did stick with it the first time around), and was wondering about the caloric intake? I just tracked what I'm eating on the 6wkbmo on here just to see the caloric value and it's about 1325-1350 approx. Is this ok?

Am I gonna feel week at all?

WELCOME TAMICATHEGREAT!!! Congratulations on your baby and for breastfeeding! I am proud of you. I don't know about this plan and breastfeeding but if you go to www.provida.com and ask them or call the number on your kit, they will give you the most recent and best advice. I am sorry I don't know. I will go to the site later to look it up, so if I find it first, I will post it here. I know that I can have fat free milk without my weight going up, but the weight loss doesn't happen fast for me that way. I am ALMOST to maintenance and have been having it for several months. During the weight loss plan I just don't know. If you are breastfeeding, I would imagine they will tell you to eat larger portions at the least and possibly add some dairy, but we will have to look into that! Best Wishes on the plan! If you come to Daily Chat, you will always have support from some amazing and wonderful people! You CAN do it!

Hola! My name is Tamica and I have probably 70ish pounds to lose. I really like this plan, and I have my kit and everything (bought a while ago). My only major issue is that I'm breastfeeding my 3 mo old and I'm concerned about my milk supply. Any suggestions?

Hi Kathy emoticon to our team and people here are amazing as we always try to help each other and we are usually on the daily chat so come on over there and chat with us. I am sharon and I am type A and this is my fourth time on this just reatarting last Mon. The first time on this I lost 15-17 lbs, second time didn't lose any thing in fact I gain, third time in Jan. lost 34 lbs in seven weeks and went on a different plan food lover for six weeks lost 13 lbs and here I am again. You will eat just for your body type and eat the food together for the combination of a meal. You will eat 3 meals, and 3 snacks the 3rd one is optioinal and must eat every 2-3 hrs and drink at least 100 oz of water and work out at least 2-3 times a week.
We usually weigh every week and we do have challenges against each other and you are welcome to join us for that if you want to.
Please feel free to ask us for help and we will try to help you in any way.

Maybe you haven't reached all your goals yet-but who has? And maybe you've made a few mistakes along the way-but who hasn't? You have every reason to feel proud of who you are. Notice your triumphs, big and small. There are so many.

HI, I am Kathy! I have ordered the program and I am still waiting on it to get here. I have never used it and I hope it will work for me. I have used other programs, like many of us here, but gain it back.

My recent adventure was Advocare. I lost weight at a rate of 2 pounds per week until I hit 173. Then nothing. With Advocare, I spent a lot of money, lost some weight and when the money ran out, I gained it back.

So, I thought I would give this program a shot.

Any insight would be nice. I did order the metabolic enhancers this go around. Not too sure if that is a good investment or not but at $1.00 for a month, I did purchase it.

Well, a little about myself. I started at 204 pounds. Lost to 173. Now I am at 184. I refuse to go up any more and that is why I have purchased the program. Please tell me that this stuff works!

I do have health conditions. Must watch potassium intake. I am on a diauretic for a pseudotumor. Some days are great, others are terrible but God is good.

Hello Team,

Really excited this team exists. I did MT6WBMO. Years ago but gave up after a few weeks. i remember losing 11 lbs the first week. Currently i'm doing the master cleanse, on day six today. Think i will stick it out for another week. So far down ten lbs but haven't weighed in officially. Lets really support eachother!!!! oh according to the online test i'm a B

Hi! I'm new to the team. I was wondering, what does everyone think about the daily calories on the food plan?
