NURSEMOMTOTHREE congrats on reaching your goals! You have a positive attitude, so that's wonderful.
For me, I think it took a few months after I reached my goal to stop tracking. My original goal was 130, then 125, now I fluctuate and I'm okay with that. I haven't tracked in awhile, don't know how long. I just got sick of it LOL!!
I may start tracking again though, at least once or twice a week.

How long you track really varies, some stopped tracking fairly quickly, most probably tracked for a few months at the least, and some never stop tracking. I think it depends on your comfort level, and desire to track or not. It may help to track for a month or two just to get your new nutrition levels in check, and then try taking a day off on the weekend, and monitor the situation. I think many of us keep daily or weekly track of our weight, so we know when we are creeping back up the scale and can get back on those trackers and nip that in the bud.
You will figure out what works best for you, so good luck, and happy maintiaining!

Thank you again to everyone. Maintenance is tricky and nerve wracking for me. I'm eating 150 - 200 calories more each day and have stayed within a 2 pound range so far. But, each day I'm nervous when I do it. I hope it gets easier.
How long did most of you continue to track your nutrition before you tried a day with out it?

Way to go Rebecca! You are so right when you describe weight loss as a lifestyle change. This a great place to encourage each other.

Thanks so much for the warm welcomes. I'm excited to be here and hope to learn a lot from the experts so that I can also help those maintainers that come after me.

Rebecca and welcome to the team. You have done a great job.

Rebecca..congrats again and welcome to the team. You will get lots of support here. I find it fun to be able to indulge without guilt a little and keep with the good habits I developed while losing.

I've been on Spark People for 5 months and reached my goal about a week ago. I know that I'll need lots of encouragement and knowledge about how to maintain. I guess if I just keep "doing what I've been doing" I'll get it all figured out. Thanks for having this team. Our journey is a lifestyle change and is something that will need constant care and nurturing for the rest of my life.
