Wow, I applaud you for doing all that. I think my metabolism is sluggish but my thyroid checked out fine. I read where some people burn over 400 calories whiile sleeping, I am luck to reach 280.

I remember a bout with hypothyroidism in high school. I slept round the clock for about a week before mama took me to the doctor. I was on meds for a few years but fortunately outgrew it.

I have an extremely slow metabolism. I have gone to a doctor who is an expert on thyroid problems and she agreed that my metabolism is extremely affected by hypothyroidism.

Due to my challenge, I need to do many interventions to succeed at the weight loss game.
Here are some of the things that I need to do:

No sugar
No starches
No processed foods
Eat mindfully and slowly without distractions,
Only eat when hungry and stop when full.
Exercise a lot. I love Pilates and do it at home.

Exercise plays a key role in my weight loss journey. I have been very strict with the diet for over 10 years but have had times when I was too busy for exercise and the pounds came back. Last year, I increased my workout time and the pounds disappeared.

This year I decided to go on maintenance when I reached size small.
I am so glad to have found this wonderful team! You are amazing!
My goal is to help this team highlight the importance of maintenance to other dieters.
