welcome to the group. I'm a 50+ women also and have been maintaining for a bout 10months now. Its hard but doable and this is a great group. I hail from central wisconsin. Land of brats, cheese, and beer so i know the temptation we all have. Luckly in don't drink, but cheese and brats another story. Treat myself ever so often.

Hi Linda, I just did 45 minutes of strength training this morning. It is so hot already and I have to drink more water. I am feeling a little light headed. Congratulations on reaching your goal. I will be walking my little Silky terrier but only short walks today with temps 100. Mainly, I will be taking him to a tree outside and then right back inside to the AC. I am a 50-year-old lady who lives in Bella Vista, AR with my fiancee, son, and two cats (bobtail) and (main coon mix), currently unemployed due to complications following a back surgery in October of 2012. In March of this year, I was 143 and started Sparkpeople (for the second time) and on June 7, I reached my goal weight of 125. Now, I am 121.4. My weight hovers between 123 and 120 usually. I exercise 6 days per week. I do the Nustep 3 times per week 30 minutes at a time and 3 days per week I work with weights to target and tone specific areas of my body such as my abdominal muscles, arms, hips, thighs, legs, and chest. I am seeing more definition in my arms and abs and have dropped two clothing sizes. I now wear a size 6 easily and I bought a whole new wardrobe. I want to maintain my weight and inspire others to lose weight and get fit.
