emoticon to maintenance! Keep in mind that your weight will fluctuate, so don't freak out if you go up and down a couple of pounds week to week. I have a five pound weight range that I stay in. This way if I don't stay on my exact goal weight, it's no big deal. Keep at it! emoticon

Just ahalf a pound away! Congratulations! Whenever I have just a half a pound to get off. I start using the Cabbage Cleansing Soup that has the recipe on Sparkpeople and the weight comes right off. Keep up the good work! Sparkpeople/recipes

Congratulations on your weight-loss success and welcome to the team! Many people in the group here have a maintenance range that they try to stay within rather than a specific number. I use the +/-3% formula that we also use for our maintenance challenges here. I find that it gives me more enough flexbility for my body's natural ups and downs and periods where I'm not doing as stellar while minimizing freak outs over small gains. Once I see a trend where I'm really creeping up into the higher end of my range, that's when I know I need to make a few changes to get back down to where I feel happier and more comfortable. It's helped me to feel more sane about my maintenance and less prone to taking drastic measures that only set me up for failure in the past.

As the others have said this is a wondefully supportive team, so don't be afraid to start up a new discussion thread if you have any questions or need some extra help.

Welcome! This is a great place to learn maintenance. I joined when I was 5 pounds away from goal thinking that I'd have some readjusting of my thinking to do. I also try to stay about a pound below my stated goal weight, then I don't panic over each fraction of a pound up or down
