You never think at the beginning of a weight loss journey that staying at your destination takes as much attention as getting there. But the whole thing is a great adventure. Congrats!!!

welcome, like you I too had type 2 and with the weight lost am now off all medication. I suggest you continue to track food and exercise as you did to lose the weight and it will help stay on task and goal. Also check into sparks daily as it is a fantastic site and will help you stay focused. Maintaining is a whole new thing for me and i'm learning something new each day.

MOVING AND MAINTAINING. Yesterday is gone, let it go, tomorrow hasn't happened, don't long for it. Today is the present .........enjoy it

Welcome. You will find LOTS of great threads at this Team with tips and encouragement. Maintaining is a much different beast than losing, and this team acknowledges those differences and helps us discover what will work for each of us. Best wishes to you!

I lost 50 pounds beginning in June 2012 and hit my goal in January 2013. So far so good, although I find myself slipping into some old bad habits and ways of thinking about food. I have Type 2 Diabetes and was able to get off ALL medication as a result of this most recent diet. I simply want to stay where I am, which I know from past experience is not so easy. All help and tips are much appreciated!!
