Congratulations on reaching your goal! You have joined the right team to maintain. They are all right. Continue to weigh yourself and continue to use the message boards. I weigh my self every week then if I gain a little I exercise more and eat a little less. If I lose more weight then I eat a little more and exercise a little less. It is all about the balance and accountability. Linda from bean town

Congratulations on reaching your goal--believe me, you're not the only one who's lost and regained many times in the past! I strongly suggest checking out our Big Page of Links (the one VTRICIA suggested)--it's basically our very own maintenance resource center that has information on a wide variety of topics, all of which are connected to maintenance. Have a look and please let us know if you have any questions or need any extra help.
My name's Tina. I lost more than 90 pounds between March 2010 and March 2012 and have been keeping if off ever since.

That's awesome, Janie! I think you'll find what you need here!
even though I have met my goals, I have continued tracking my nutrition and fitness. So far I have maintained since November. Try to keep one day at a time and remember we are all in this together!
Always do right
This will gratify some
and astonish others
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could-

We are trying to get a presence of maintainers on reddit though it's mostly sparklers as far as I know. (see the link in my sig)
If you go under the resources forum there is the big page of links.
Losers Keepers Motivation for Maintenance:
It is so good to know I am not alone on this never ending journey. I am determined to be successful this time and not return to old habits. Looking forward to meeting others with this same goal.
to Spark and to our team !
Spark, the teams, Spark Friends, challenges, all combine for a great supportive, motivational, and encouraging network to keep you on track.
I agree with NELLJONES, I also continue a lot of what I did to lose the pounds to keep me on track. My food journal is probably my most important tool.
Welcome Janie! You have come to the best (and for all I know the only) place to celebrate staying the same. When we are losing, it is obvious to the rest of the world, and we get lots of praise and support. Then we hit goal and all that goes away, but not the effort of staying the same. I maintain not only my goal weight, but I maintain the same actions I took to lose: journaling, weighing and measuring, weighing myself. And with the celebrations and challenges on this Spark team, it's as much an adventure as losing the weight.
No one ever got up in the morning wishing she'd eaten more the night before.
Original Goal: 114. Current old lady goal: 106.
Welcome and congratulations on the weight loss. Now it's time for the Next Adventure - we're all walking this path so you'll have lots of company.

Welcome! I have been a SP member since 9/2011 and it is very helpful.
SP is great for tracking, learning, motivation and camaraderie.
I can spend a few hours here when I have a little extra time. I have been in maintenance for 5 months and still track my intake most days. Currently, enjoying the fitness section to help me get my muscles toned.
Congrats on your weight loss!
Wiggle room on my weight! Getting consistent with exercise tipped the scales . . . in a good way~just don't think I need to lose any more--just get firm and fit!

Over the last 5 months, I lost 35 lbs. Even though this was a difficult journey, now the challenge is to keep the weight off. In the past, I have lost weight, only to regain it (plus some more) in a short period of time. My goal is to maintain my current weight going forward. I discovered this web site a few months ago and find the information very helpful. I'm not sure how to take advantage of all the resources offered here, but hope to learn more as I continue this journey.
