So glad that you were able to stay in control. I have major panic attacks sometimes when faced with certain 'trigger' situations. I'm lucky that I don't have to experience the medication induced weight gain, but I believe many (probably all) of us do go through rough spots in our maintenance.

It helps to know we are not alone in whatever is causing us anxiety about our weight.
So glad you are here and hope we can all support you in your struggles and concerns.

Update! NO MORE Wiggle room on my weight! Still figuring out how to keep balance and stay in charge. Staying active but could step it up again.

SW: 275-276 Ht. 5'6"
GW: 135 (goal range: 130-140)
CW: WAS 124.7 NOW: 143.5
My focus is health AND fitness! And LOSING 10 lbs. again!

Hi, my name is Jessica,and while I am not new to Sparkpeople, I am new to the message boards. I've been feeling kinda down lately, because I've gained some weight since being put on a new medication to control my bipolar disorder. I all of a sudden felt an uncontrollable urge to overeat and it scared me, because I had faced this situation before. Last time I dealt with some medication related weight gain, I went above 200 pounds. I was scared the same thing was going to happen again. So imagine my surprise when I stepped on the scale this morning and saw that I had maintained for the past six weeks! I think it's all the nervous energy; I heard that fidgeting burns a lot of calories. I'm not trying to brag or make anyone feel bad, because this has not been easy. I just decided that I wanted to feel good about myself for a change.
