Thank you for the warm welcome everyone! AMARILYNH- yes, I am starting to up my exercise I will admit I have had days where I dipped below 1200 calories, but I know I cannot sustain that. I recently took on a second job so some days I work from 10am to 10pm and I have slacked on my exercise routine. I've been doing a spinning class once a week, and strength training once a week, but it's not enough. Now that the weather is warmer I am going to start running in the mornings and try to get some form of physical activity everyday. I always try to remember a meme I saw somewhere-" Someone busier than you is working out right now!"

Congratulations on a HUGE goal almost reached!! Maintenance is very doable, you just have to remain diligent. Have you considered upping your exercise? You really don't want to drop your calories below 1200 - that's asking for trouble. Even if it means maintaining at your present weight for a while, I'd not drop your calories lower without consulting a nutritionist. Your health is way more important than a number on the scale.

Hello everyone! A year ago I would have never believed I would get invited to this group! It's not been an easy journey but I have lost a total of 105lbs and I am 11lbs away from a healthy BMI. I might still try to lose about 20 more lbs but I'm not going to focus on a "goal weight" as long as I can stay in the range for my height which is about 135-159lbs. I am scared to death of the maintenance phase because I've already had to steadily drop my calories to keep losing and I am at about 1200 cal right now. If I have days where I eat 1500 or so I see an increase in weight. Looking forward to meeting everyone! Congratulations to those that have been able to keep the weight off! You are such an inspiration to me:)
