I was very inspired a few years ago by another member who had lost her weight in "installments." This just seemed smart to me. I have followed the same basic plan for three years. Each year, changes to the plan evolved rather naturally, so that now I feel quite comfortable. I've lost more each year, and may lose still more, but I consider myself in maintenace because I am not changing anything to lose more, just to refine my choices according to my evolving appetite. I like your approach, too, and guess that you will have less of a struggle than some. I wish more people knew they don't have to do it all at once.

Yay, I'm so glad to finally see you here, Amanda! (I've been pestering her for quite a while to join us, lol.) Many congratulations on reaching the 100-pound mark. That's a huge achievement and I know you must feel great. Have a look around and please let me know if you have any questions. This is a fabulous team and I learn new things just about every day from our members.
My name's Tina. I lost more than 90 pounds between March 2010 and March 2012 and have been keeping if off ever since.
Amanda and a big on your successful change to a healthier lifestyle! You are right where you need to be! This is a very supportive place! There are lots of good ideas on how to maintain your loss and/or lose the little that is left. I'm glad you are here.
Congratulations! That is a great accomplishment. Now is the right time to join this team and start making the transition to maintenance. You couldn't ask for a better or more supportive group than this one!

Congratulations, Amanda and welcome to this team. I wish I would have discovered it sooner, but I am very grateful for all the articles posted and the scientific approach. The statistics for maintaining get better each year you maintain. Wishing you the very best!!
Congratulations on your amazing loss! I think you'll find that by losing it really slowly, you will have a pretty natural transition to maintenance. I'm with you--I knew I never wanted to have to lose that 100 pounds again either, and I'm looking at one year of maintenance this Saturday!! You can do it!
Highest weight: 248 August 2010 Reached goal weight of 148 Feb 23, 2012 10/1/13-10/1/14-Gained back 50-peeling it off!
Hello! My name is Amanda and I've been looking forward to joining this team for a very long time. My weight loss journey has been SLOW SLOW SLOW and I'm not quite to the end, but today I reached a major milestone - 100 lbs lost - and this is the point where I decided to start transitioning into maintenance. I have about 18 lbs to go, but I want to continue to take them real slow as I learn how to maintain. I never want to have to lose this weight again.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you guys here! :)
