Wow! I'm so impressed with all the positive comments and encouragement here!

Finished the January Jumpstart on Sunday and loved the daily challenge. So I joined the 28-Day Boot Camp. Also, took a Chi-Running class on Sunday (I have *never* run) and am now beginning the SP 5k Your Way Walk-Jog Training plan. Have a local Spark Team set up for the April 13th Firefly 5k. (It's a dusk 5k walk-run with LED lights for all the participants.)

I'm working on my stamina and upped my cardio to 40-45 minutes instead of 30 times 6 days/week. Also doubling my sets on the strength videos that are less than 15 minutes.

Definitely bitten by the Fitness Bug (smile).

You've definitely come to the right place! I've also found fitness goals to be really helpful in maintenance. Like you, I also reached goal happy with my weight but not quite as satisfied with my fitness and confidence with my body. The changes might not be as dramatic as those I saw when I was losing weight, but with consistent effort, they are happening. I feel much better at almost a year on maintenance than I did when I reached my initial weight goal. I know that will come for you too!

My name's Tina. I lost more than 90 pounds between March 2010 and March 2012 and have been keeping if off ever since.

Yay strength training. I was reading an article this morning about working on chinups that you might find interesting. While they talk about chins, I think it's relevant to pullups as well.

My fitness goal is to be able to do a pullup. "Weight" for me now means strength training!

Welcome, Julia!

Immediately after achieving my goal weight, my focus was on learning to stop losing and make the weight go sideways. I thought I'd learned that in about 8 weeks. In the year+ since then, I've been much more focused on fitness than on weight.

Yes, I still try to make the weight go sideways; but I'm more concerned with how much I can run, how much weight I can lift, and how many pullups I can do. A side benefit of this concern is, I do look better naked now than I did a year ago. But looking better naked wasn't really the goal; being able to do stuff was the goal. I was totally surprised at how much I liked being able to see my abs, once they showed up.

This is a GREAT team. I reached my goal June 2011, and was SO happy to find this about a year later, because I was struggling. Reading the posts of advice of what works for each individual, the scientific info, etc. was a wealth of information for me. Welcome and wish you the very best!!

Congratulations on your maintenance! I know what you mean about being clothed vs being naked, and I can use all the tips and help I can get!
Have fun with your new teams!

I've been at goal weight for a couple months, proudly maintained over the holidays!

However, I'm still not as fit, strong, and toned as I'd like to be. Or, as I put it: I look great in clothes, now I want to look good naked. emoticon

I'm upping my fitness goals, which has upped my calories YAY! I'm also taking on new challenges, joined a hiking meetup, signed up for a running class (I've never run), and am doing the January Jumpstart.

It seems that this team would be a good place for me to hang out and learn about maintenance and increasing fitness.
