Many congratulations on reaching your goal, Laura, and welcome to the team! It sounds like you've established a great approach to living a healthy and sustainable lifestyle and that approach will serve you well in maintenance. Have a look around our team page, especially our 'Team Links' section, which you can find under the 'Team Stream' on the right side of the page. We also have a Daily Accountability thread, where a relatively small but dedicated group of maintainers check in with each other every day. We're just finishing up a maintenance challenge, where the goal is to have the smallest deviation from your chosen goal, so we should be starting up another one soon.

If you have any specific questions that you'd like to put out to the team, please feel free to start up a new discussion thread and if you ever need anything, please don't hesitate to ask me or one of the other leaders.

Hi! emoticon ::::.....my name is Laura,

My journey began in 2008..lost 50#, maintained for a year & the rest came off S-L-O-W-L-Y.

But that was good because it STAYED off..:::LOL! I knew I needed to lose 15 more pounds to reach my final Goal ...I prepared mentally for the new season of losing, and it was the hardest.
Those last 15# took a year to come off...BUT during that time I was weightlifting ( fell in love with FITNESS! ) and began to run emoticon ::::......Building muscle and focusing on losing body fat vied for attention from Mr. Scales. As I juggled all of these focuses...in the end I was GLAD. I found myself at 23% body fat, 5# short of my Final goal...not to mention I had a firm & lean body. It was worth it all. Last week I reached my goal...having lost the last 5.
My greatest success overall is that I adopted a healthy well-balanced Lifestyle and LOVE it!
I know I will keep it for always.....

So here I am...::::looking forward to this new season of maintenance....ready to succeed and give/receive lots of support. emoticon

My new goal is to simply continue living the lifestyle as always and see where the scales go. I have NO desire to ever partake in the habits of the past ....as they make me ill just thinking about it....besides I'm addicted to all the ENERGY I get from the lifestyle I now live.
I am not caught up in the numbers game. I know that I personally have just a few more inches to lose. My PLAN is in place...::::looking forward to the journey.
