emoticon to the team. Part of maintenance is the process. Many of us have regained some and have had to lose it again. I'm currently maintaining a 40 lbs weight loss. Great to have you here!
I am discovering that it was quite a challenge to lose the last little bit too, and I tend to hold perimenopause responsible too.
I am, however, incredibly grateful to have arrived at goal- finally- before full on menopause. I have high hopes for health as I enter this stage of my life and beyond.
You'll be so glad you have worked so hard too!

Welcome and congratulations on your decision to make sure that this time is the LAST time you lose those pounds. There are lots of helpful people and good information on this team. Having been in the same situation (gaining and losing the same weight a few times) and being in that age range, I can say that it's tough to lose weight (I averaged a half pound a week) and hard to maintain. If I relax for any length of time (say, vacation) I can pick up a couple of pounds that will take me months to get rid of. It's tough, but it's worth the effort!

Hi, my name is Marie Rey. I am not at maintenance yet, but I wanted to join this team because this time I want to lose the weight for good. I've gained and lost the same 15-20 lbs over and over again through the years and it's always been easy to lose the weight. This time, due to being perimenopausal, I am having a very hard time losing the weight. That's why I've resolved to lose the weight just one more time and then maintain for the rest of my life. I'm looking forward to learning from everyone here how they've successfully maintained, so that when I finally get to goal, I will already be in the correct mindset and prepared for maintenance. Thanks for having me on the team!
