Hi and Welcome to Spark People. Very nice to "meet" you. This is a terrific site with lots of wonderful, friendly inspirational people and sound common sense advice. I do agree that this group focusses more on the challenges faced by members who are near or working at maintaining goal. You might be better served at first by joining a group with similar goals who are actively in weight loss mode. Please check out the Food Tracker and Fitness Tracker- they are very useful tools. As well, reading other people's inspirational blogs would also help you along the way. Wish you much success in reaching your goal for your anniversary.

Welcome to the group, but you will find that we aren't trying to lose here: We are generally made up of people who have reached our goals and are working to not gain the weight back. emoticon

well hello sparks people i am new to this kind of weight loss and healthy life style. i am hoping with all of this i can lose some weight and get HEALTHY. my husband and i renewing our vows next Oct. and i wan to look amazing. not skinny but healthy. so if i ever feel lik i am falling plz help pick me up lol. i did good with my first day yesterday i lost 2 whole lbs and i am excited.
