Hey all-- The way I set myself up for maintenance mode was to put my goal weight at what I weigh now, and the goal date for 6 months from now. Since my BMR is 1645 and I burn 1020 cals per week, they've got me at 1550-1900 calorie range so I even out. Hope that helps!

Ahh, but the settings are different if you're not in weight loss mode - I'm in the Spark 5 program, and where the settings were a couple of years ago has changed. A bit frustrating, but I look less at the recommended range than what I know is right for me.

Poindextra: On your start page, you can change your goals. I changed mine to wanting to loose 1 pound by the end of the year or something like that. Best I could do, as I don't think you can set your goal higher than where you are and still update your spark page. IE you have to pretend like you want to loose that one ellusive pound or two so that your spark page is still changeable which to me is insane.

I know that there is a way to set up a maintenance range in Sparky, but I can't remember how, it's been so long since I've done it (I came to Sparky well into maintenance). I too have lost some more weight recently, and I'm now at the bottom of where I want to be. It's really hard to get into the mindset of needing to eat a little more - so, I try to add some nuts or things like that to my diet to help in that direction.

Okay, I shouldn't be so flippant in my comments, sorry. My husband is a bit underweight and half wanted to gain some weight and well, the dietician did list the foods below, but so far hasn't really worked for him. He does now use the higher fat dressing, a balsamic vinagrette which tends to be good oils on his salad, and does sometimes add some sunflower nuts to his salad too when we have salad at home. Milk just made him full if he drank it and then he ate less at meals, so that didn't work. Avocada didn't help much either. He does snack on nuts a bit more often, and well he has stopped loosing weight mostly, but really hasn't gained any. So if you really want to gain weight, then it isn't as easy as one might think. (But yes, there is jealousy on my part. I have reached maintenance, but it is hard when I want to eat a bit more than my calorie budget and my hubby is sitting over there thinking he should force himself to eat the rest of his french fries, etc.)

OK, thanks. So maybe a Pure Protein bar and a glass of milk. I'll start that tomorrow.

Add some healthy higher calorie foods, like nuts as snacks, or avocado. Drinking milk a bit more often. All advice that a dietician gave my husband and often gives those who are recovering from weight loss caused by cancer treatment.

Hi, and thanks. I track all my meals, snacks and exercises. Somewhere along the way I'm missing something. Calories in-Calories out. I enjoy a good life. I eat well and enjoy being outdoors. I walk and that's about it. Yes, we have a lot of land and I maintain all do it. How do I catch up with my calories our without offending my healthy diet?

For me, tracking my calories and setting up a profile on spark where it tells me my calorie range taking into consideration my activity level and age, and my weight goals, etc. Spark isn't set up for someone who wants to gain a few pounds, or even those of us in maintenance, but it can help. As I can pretend like I want to loose one pound in some long period of time and have it mostly set for a maintenance level of calories.

My maintenance gal is 120-125. I'm now at 118 and have been under my goal for a few months. I'm very active for a 70 yr old and am committed to a healthy diet and lifestyle. What are some secrets to maintaining my weight?
