I am so glad you found our team. This team helps me
everyday to stay in maintenance mode. I have lost
weight many times as so many here have. This is
the first time I have been successful at maintenance.

I credit Spark and this team for so much of my
ability to stay on track. So hang around here and feel
the support.

The hardest part of maintenance is that is necessary to
shift our self-identity. Living in a post-fat world, we
are learning to respond differently, differently to food
and to our environment. It takes time to get used
to our new thinner reality. Doing it together in this
space has really helped me believe in the new me.

What an awesome story you have -- and the fact you have been maintaining now for almost two years leads me to think you can also give us some tips and support, too!

This is a great team and within this team is a seasonal challenge to maintain within your range for 12 weeks at a time. I have found this very helpful. There will be a new one hopefully after the beginning of the new year. Watch for it.

Welcome to the group. And yes, maintenance is a struggle for me. I am at 1.5 years after loosing just over 50 pounds. Hope the team can help you some. It does help me to have other maintainers around.

10/5/13 5K Grace Pet Fest 38:47.6
12/1/13 Secret City Half Marathon around 3 hours and 4 minutes
4/19/14 Butterflies for Hope 5K for Lupus 39:23.8 (I hurt my back a few days before, and though it was my first official 5K with some jogging, my back hurt, so was very slow.)

Hi there! I'm Katie, and a few days ago, my story was featured on the Daily Spark--and I got so many nice comments! Quite a few people mentioned this particular team, and I'm grateful for that, because I didn't know about it. As you all know, maintenance is TOUGH. I hit maintenance in December 2010, after losing 125 pounds. I've been maintaining a 110-115 pound loss for the last couple of years, and I still struggle every single day, so I would love some support from others going through the same thing.

Anyway, I looking forward to getting to know everyone!
