Relatively new to this team....only been on it a couple weeks, but I LOVE you all. I've been struggling for the past 6-9 months with my weight creeping up and a lack of motivation and movement. FINALLY, I am feeling like I am starting to get my Spark back. This morning for the first time in months, I am at our below my original Spark goal - now, only 10 more to go to hit my personal goal! I know with consistent tracking, exercise and all the motivation and information that I am finding on this team that I will be there by my birthday (Nov 10th) and I will STAY there!

Welcome to the team and congratulations on reaching your goal! I suffered from the same problem after I first hit goal--I was afraid to raise up my calories and had a hard time with the idea that the numbers on the scale wouldn't be going down any more. Thankfully, after receiving some excellent advice and support here, I did exactly what you're doing now--I gradually increased my calories and worked on figuring out where my food/exercise balance needed to be. After a few months, things levelled off and I finally had wrapped my head around the idea of beginning maintenance. You seem to be doing the right things, so I'm confident you'll get there too. Please let us know if we can help you in any way through your transition!

Hi everyone! My name is Paula and I'm just entering maintenance. I hit my goal about 3 weeks ago, but a vacation and a kidney infection had me all messed up.

Seven years ago I weighed about 230 lbs. I took some weight off and maintained at about 185 for a couple years. Then I was down to about 172 for quite a while. Since last October I've really been on plan and trying to get rid of the rest. So about 40 lbs later, here I am.


I'm struggling at this point to increase my calories. I NEVER thought I'd say something like that. I really enjoy eating healthy and I enjoy filling up on low calorie foods that are healthy so finding a way to add calories is tough. I'm just not that hungry.

I'm getting there. Today I'll be at my self imposed 1500 calories. I'm slowing trying to find the balance of calories with exercise.

I'm hoping to get a lot of good advice from all of you!
