Welcome!

Everyone here is so open and sharing. I just love the people on this team.

We're all coming at maintenance from our own individual perspectives; there isn't a one-size-fits-all solution out there. So like in weight loss, you'll need to experiment a little, and throw a lot of creativity into figuring out what works for you.

There have been a few really interesting threads lately about maintenance strategies, etc. Browse around the forum to find them. And there are a whole bunch of links in the team links section all about maintenance.

If you have any questions or need support, just ask. Like I said, the folks on this team are extremely generous, thoughtful, and wise.

Welcome to the MAIN event, Maintenance! Congrats on your journey to goal, and you'd be very unusual if maintaining weren't a little daunting. This is a great team to help make the transition and hang around for some interesting challenges that surround "keeping it off".

I probably don't have any individual pictures of me 'before' there (I avoided the camera like the plague then), but there's a photo collage I did there that has one. I should do a 'then and now' one to include, I guess!

Thanks for the welcome, everyone! It's a whole different mindset moving from actively losing weight to maintaining, I find.

Getfit2live: Was hoping to find some pictures of you before and after, and I don't see any newer than June 2011 pictures on your spark page album. :) Going to rectify that and show off your maintenance weight?

Hi everyone,

I finally decided it was time to join this team since I'm pretty much done with the weight loss phase of things. I've lost 107 lbs. and don't really plan on losing more weight, just reducing my body fat. I've lost weight before but have never been able to keep it off for any length of time. That's the real challenge, isn't it? I've been about this weight for four months now and am looking forward to learning from others who have been able to maintain their weight loss for the long haul!
