Thank you everyone.

A day at a time and I will reach my goal. I am not perfect but I will forgive myself for the mistakes I make. Life is full of choices and sometimes we don't always make the best ones but that's what makes us human.

That's the spirit! I've lost 16% of my weight while still having sweets at limited times and eating all kinds of foods, including MY favorite junk, in reasonable portions. I saw this was for the rest of my life and I knew I wouldn't swear off sweets forever, so I made friends with them, with lots of colorful freggies and with moderate hunger, too. We're a family now. Welcome! emoticon

Congrats on the weight loss! You certainly are on the right track! I was on the weight rollar coaster ride too, but the buck stopped here. I have been happily maintaining for a year now, using Spark People's excellent Nutrition & Fitness Trackers. No food is off limits, but as long as you get it right 80% of the time, you should be fine! The key is to keep in your calorie range..I just recently celebrated my 50th birthday and don't intend to ever gain the weight back. My golden years really are going to be my best years!
Here is to being fit and fabulous!
All the best with your goal!

Hi everyone. I'm 48 and have been a yo yoer for years but have done things differently this time. I decided to up my excercise as well as watch what I eat and if I do want a chocolate bar I do have one. This is a lifestyle not a diet therefore the foods even though they may not be the healthiest choice you love have to be in there once inawhile.
Originally I lost fifty pounds but have been fighting 25 on and off for years. I guess that's better then gaining everything back but I'm tired of playing with that 25 pounds. I'm hoping to make some friends and get and give support.
