I started SP at 138 lbs in October 2010. My goal weight was supposed to be 125, which I reached in January 2011. I have stayed at 125 (give or take a few pounds) ever since.

It's good to start thinking about maintenance before you hit goal; it took me 8 weeks after hitting my initial goal to stabilize my weight. Three months later, I still have to track everything I eat and adjust my calorie range from time to time; but that's my discipline.

You will find that different maintainers are successful with different strategies. You mission is to figure out what strategies will work for *you*, regardless of what might work for me or for someone else.

Yes - keeping the weight off still takes a bit of work but mentally it gets easier and easier. I love that I can eyeball portions so much more accurately now.

The statistics may be grim on people who keep weight off, but I'm here to tell you it can and does happen. I find that staying close to Spark makes sure I never ever forget how I got here and how I can stay here.

My target weight is 140. I'm almost there and decided now was a good time to start thinking about maintenance, which has been a problem for me in the past. I lost 50 lbs with Spark before, but lost my "spark" and stopped eating healthy and exercising. This time I'll have lost 38 lbs and don't want to put the weight back on again. I hope this team will help me with my goal of maintaining. I have also signed up for the FB "Second Helping" information.

I look forward to getting to know all of you better and contributing what I can to the team's success.
