Lise, you are on the right track. I might suggest since you have a goal, make an action plan to go along with it. Write down how you are going to acheive your goal. That might mean righting it down on paper and keeping somewhere you will see it often, or just scheduling your workout on Sparkpeople, or if you use another planner/calendar - write it down there. If you miss a day or don't perform as expected, don't beat yourself up just continue on. Good Luck!

Hi,

My name is Lise, and I have just reached goal (for the second time, I completely failed to maintain last time round!!!!)
My goal was to reach below 60kg. My goal now is to stay between 59 and 60kg for at least a month, to build strong habits.
My new goals are to tone my body, so I guess that I will have a gage by my upper thighs adn tummy measurements, which will be tough, as it will involve having to do daily toning exercises at home, which I fail to do time and again, and also because the changes are going to be slow, and therefore, motivation hard to sustain!!!
Oh Dear, I am already coming across as defeated!
If anyone wants to keep me on my toes, feel free, I think accountability will be the way forward to get these new habits in!!!! Anyone?

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.

Daily goals and rewards:

Ł1 a day for:
- getting into bed before 23pm
- staying within my 1450-1800 calorie range

Goal: very slowly go back to 62kg, then 61, then 60, and aim to stay at between 59 and 60 for ever more...

After reaching my goal weight, my new goal was becoming debt free. I'm still working on that one.

I started SP at 138 lbs in October 2010. My goal weight was supposed to be 125, which I reached in January 2011. Now I'm just trying to keep my weight up so I don't hit the bottom of my BMI which is 104 lbs. My maintenance range is 110 to 120.

Wow, I consider myself "at goal" and I'm NOWHERE near your body fat level. I'm lightheaded just thinking about being that low!

I agree goals are so important. My yoga practice gives me plenty of opportunities to set goals and then remember all the SMART things about goals.

Lost 65 lbs and maintained since 2006.

Glad you've joined us. I once had a friend who said , "You never stay the same. If you're not going forward, you're slipping backward." Congratulations on deciding to move forward with a new goal.

Welcome! I think you're quite right about continuing to set new goals for yourself. I find that even if they aren't health and fitness related, they help me focus on maintaining those goals I've already met.

I've been at my goal weight for some time now (around 2 years). I found however that in order to keep me motivated I still need a goal. I've decided to attempt to get to 8.5% body fat. I've started at around 11.4%. It seems like a bit of a lofty goal, but certainly acheivable.

I think keeping a goal, even when you've reached your goal is important.
