I started SP at 138 lbs in October 2010. My goal weight was supposed to be 125, which I reached in January 2011. I have stayed at 125 (give or take a few pounds) ever since.

Welcome! emoticon

We're glad to have you, and we hope you find the support of others will help you maintain that "do-able" weight you've found.

I followed the same track: decided now was the time, found Sparkpeople, reached my initial goal, figured I might as well try for a lower one, then found that an even lower one was, as you say, "do-able." But I've only been maintaining for about 3 months, so your news is really encouraging to me.

Hope you'll join the challenge when it next rolls around. It's a real motivator for us to stay on track.

Started at 138, aiming for 125. Got there, and 120 seemed possible. Got THERE, and 118 seemed possible. Got THERE, and 115 seemed possible. And that's where I want to stay. Maintain, maintain, maintain.

I haven't been very active in teams lately, but this group is just what I need in these cold, dark, food-filled days of winter. I have struggled with my weight all my life and found SparkPeople at a point when I wanted to do something about my weight and had a specific date goal to aim for: I celebrated my 10th wedding anniversary and my 30th high school reunion the same summer and I really, really wanted to 1. fit into my wedding dress and 2. Impress my old classmates. I did it! My original goal was 125 and when I got there I dropped it to 120. When I reached 120 I realized that my "irrational goal weight" of 115--a number I had been clinging to as ideal since I was 13 (!) was actually do-able. I've been up and down a few pounds in the past year but I have been sticking with Spark and keeping it within a range of 113-117. If it gets up a bit it's my warning to stop slacking. I also give myself permission to relax a bit on vacations and holidays--but only a bit! I've worked too hard to get and stay where I am. I'm NOT going to let myself slide back into emoticon!
