Thank you LJ: It took a long time and most of it went when I first got my dentures. But I find that I can't really eat soft bread.

I am new to this team. My name is Patti. I have been with Spark now for 10 years. I have finally gotten to my goal weight and hoping to maintain it. I try to walk as much as I can during lunch at work and do my strength exercises as well.

Welcome, Mimi!

Don't be afraid to adjust your maintenance plan if reality turns out to diverge from your projections. I ended up adding more calories than I thought I'd need to in order to maintain, but I think I finally got there a couple weeks ago.

Turtlebear! emoticon emoticon So good to see you here! I've been a member here for nearly two years now... spurred on by other Spark Friends, and it's always good to link up with those I've known on other teams as they recognize THIS is where you are: a Maintainer!

Quite a detailed plan. A bit faster than I did. I took maybe 3 months to slow my weight loss and reach a more maintenance level of calories... Now though I seem to be slightly loosing again, as I am exercising a bit more, as I want to, so may have to readjust my calories, but probably going to wait until January, as I like having the flexibility room for Christmas/the holidays and my birthday in January.

3/31/12 Trailbreaker half marathon 13.1 miles in 3 hours 13 minutes
4/20/13 Neighborhood Watch 5K 39:17.6
10/5/13 5K Grace Pet Fest 38:47.6
12/1/13 Secret City Half Marathon around 3 hours and 4 minutes
4/19/14 Butterflies for Hope 5K for Lupus 39:23.8 (I hurt my back a few days before, and though it was my first official 5K with some jogging, my back hurt, so was very slow.)

Hi! I'm Mimi and I'm 54 and live in Maryland with DH. I have three grown DS (20, 24, and 30). My oldest just got engaged for a Sept. 2012 wedding, so that's the big news in our family this week! I work full time, but I have been telecommuting since 1987(!) and so it gives me a lot of flexibility. My company is in Massachusetts, where I'm from, and most of my family is still there. I have three chihuahuas, and I love to backpack, hike, kayak/raft, swim, and I volunteer with the Boy Scouts running a committee that helps scouts and adults go backpacking at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico each summer. I love classical music, especially opera - my second son is an opera singer. I joined Spark in January of this year, steadily lost 72 pounds by using the food tracker and maintaining a committed fitness plan, and hit my goal this past Saturday. I've structured a maintenance plan and am excited to have the honor to join you on this team!
