Just fixed the peach cake for a dinner at a friend's house and got rave reviews.... I need to try some other recipes as well.

Try the peach cake.... it is awesome. Made it as couple days ago and put it into recipe calculator .... came out slightly about 135 calories for a 1/8 of the pie.

I started SP at 138 lbs in October 2010. My goal weight was supposed to be 125, which I reached in January 2011. I have stayed at 125 (give or take a few pounds) ever since.

Thanks so much for your note! Isn't it amazing what a healthy and varied diet they have? I began this blogging adventure in an effort to document some of these family recipes of ours that have never been written down. What an incredible experience it's been (and we're certainly eating very well as I test out one healthy recipe after another!) I'd love to hear about your experiences in Turkey. I've never been there. So nice to meet you!

Thanks for posting here .... I have subscribed. We lived in Turkey for a year and I felt we ate like royalty and never gained a pound... their diet is very similar.... lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, olive oil, lots of tea, mostly flat breads... meat is usually lamb and lots of fish.
The fruits in season are wonderful... beautiful figs, luscious melons, peaches and in winter oranges the size of softballs with juice to dribble down your chin...
oops , I sound like a foodie.

Lost 65 lbs and maintained since 2006.

Wow your blog looks so professional and you have some of the best food pictures! They look wonderful. I had to subscribe. Looks like you have some great recipes and simple, but slightly sweet desserts too.
