Congrats on reaching goal!
It was losing that I felt was very difficult. I have been maintaining for a year and a half now and loving it! I do just one hour of cardio a day, and track everything I eat, a very simple formula! Spark's trackers really do work when used properly.
Good luck with your next goals!

Hi and welcome,. Linda!! It is hard, but it's worth it........move a little more; eat a little less....but I still enjoy some of my favorites with absolute portion control, otherwise, I will need to leave this team, and I'm not going to do that!! LOL!!

Barbara .....that's what my friends call me! Never cared for the name Barb.

It looks like there are quite a few of us knew to the maintenance phase. emoticon

Welcome Linda. I've received a lot of great support and ideas from this team and I'm sure you will, too. We are all here to help each other "keep what we've achieved."

Keep at it and post often. emoticon Together we can maintain.

emoticon ! Maintenance is just that -- keeping track and on target. You will find many helpful aids on this site to help you with this, and the people in this group are very helpful, too.

In a few weeks I'll be at 2 years of maintaining. I started with small steps I felt I could keep up forever, and I just keep on with those. What catches me now &then is grabbing "just a few" crackers, nuts, rice cakes ... And then a few more, and a few more ... It's easy to overeat if I'm not careful to measure out portions. In general, I find if I didn't do it while trying to lose, I better not do it now, and if I did it (walking, gym time, etc) then, I'd better be doing it now. One choice at a time, we Can Do This! Welcome!!

emoticon Linda and emoticon to Maintenance!

The journey really starts here, it doesn't finish here. OK, the learning began as you lost the weight, but like you, I've found the real challenge is to stay motivated to maintain a level of activity and healthy eating when you AREN'T trying to lose. It's easy to fall back into bad habits, or for that matter, to go the other way and push yourself so hard that you burn out!

So, to balance, and finding it! Welcome to your new life. You've worked for it. You've earned it. And you're worth it!
