You can talk to God all you want and that's great, but the changes happen when you start listening to him.

BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN OTHERS.

Congratulations! Isn't it great being in the healthy zone? My greatest tip for maintenance is to get right back on program when you have gone over your goal weight.
We all have times when we indulge and go "up". The important thing is not to let it throw you! All is correctable if you get right back on program!

Congratulations on remaining alocohol-free and smoke-free and watching your weight. Keeping track of what you eat and how much exercise you get each week is easy with Sparkpeople and it has helped me maintain my goal weight for 4 years. emoticon

Welcome to Spark and welcome to "At Goal and Maintaining". Sounds like you, too, have walked a long and winding road to "maintenance". Hope you find the site as supportive as I have!

Just found this site from a dear friend. At age 20 went over 200# and went to 240#. My wife and I went on a diet and went down to 190 in 4 months and quit smking also. That was in 1972 or 1973. Bought a business and started eating between melas, vegtables at first and then everything. My drivers licenses showed 5# a year but would fast or starve. Finally in 1991 went to a support group to get my wife and doctor off my back. I was at least 281# and high blood pressure. That was 19 yeras ago. Still go tot he suport group and am a good weight for me, 175.0 this morning. Maintaining has been hard, but still write down what I eat and that has helped. This website looks great and am excited to look at the food and weight. 41 yeras ago tommorrow quit drinking alcohol with no support and smoking ove 25 years ago, but need help with food. Any questions e-mail me.
