Welcome, Julie, to the At Goal and Maintaining Team! Glad you have joined us.
I agree that cold weather can be a challenge. For one thing you can hide in all that extra clothing! But just remember, spring will come and denial does not help your health. Some nice soup with healthy veggies, good herbs, and not too much salt might just be the thing.
Take care. Enjoy the fire.

Hi and welcome Julie. I originally came from Scotland and remember those days of snow. Brrrr..., All the best on your journey of Healthy Living.

Welcome, Julie. I absolutely loved visiting Scotland and hope to go back some day. Obviously, a week is not enough. What a beautiful country and lovely people we saw and met.
Stay warm and cozy. I suppose jumping up and down would do double duty: aerobic exercise and warmth. Of course, a thick blanket, a cup of tea and a good book would be nice, too and more fun.
Welcome to the team!! We're glad to have you joining us!

I have just joined the SparkPeople as part of my healthier, happier journey that I'm on. I'm hoping being part of a community will help keep me motivated. I am from Scotland and as my title indicates we are currently experiencing some extreme winter weather and the temptation to hibernate in front of the fire with some comfort food is very tempting - but I have been good today and did 2 sets of 15minutes on the exercise bike so feeling quite proud of myself.
Hope to learn some good stuff in this forum and to get some good recipe ideas to try.
