Welcome to the team, Barbara. I'm like you and have revised my goal upwards from the start as well. I have become quite muscular so am actually smaller than I was at 5 pounds lighter. Maintenance is scary at first, but once I realized that even with a slip up or two, I wasn't going to balloon to my starting weight, I was OK.

Every time someone new joins this team, it means that SparkPeople has worked it's magic and transformed a life once again. emoticon

It's a great team to help with the adjustment and the ongoing support one needs in maintenance. Which is pretty much the same program as losing but without the movement on the progress bar!

If those little rewards helped you get to goal, you gotta find some new reasons to give them to yourself. emoticon Like today. For getting your steps in.

I agree with Rissa's. I did not increase my calorie intake. Mainly I am still working on toning and flattening some areas.

I have been at goal since 10/09

I think you will find that maintenance is not really too different from getting there...especially at the end when weight loss was slow. :-) My advice is to stick with the foods and portion sizes that got you there in the first place.

Reached my goal November 2009!

Weight Watchers worked for me and now I work for Weight Watchers.

Welcome to this team. Some on this team have been at their goal weight (range) for many years and I know it helps a lot to read others' stories.

Keep up the good work. Weight training (I hear) is great for ongoing burning of calories.

I have just started officially "maintaining". I have not been able to reach what my offical goal weight was even though I revised it upwards twice. 133 was what Spark set it at orriginally and I knew that was probably too low so I changed it to 135, then 140. I got down to 142 at one point but now I have settled in between 145 and 150. I do quite a bit of strenght training and I know I have gained muscle ove the last few months. Most people don't believe I weigh as much as I do, they think I weigh like 120 or something. I look good but I am still working on my midsection, who isn't?

Oh well, I know this maintenance thing is a different mind game altogether and I want to keep up all my good habits. Hopefully this team will help me do that. It was scarry when I changed my goals on my tracker and my calorie ranges went up to 1550 - 1840, I know I can't eat that much all the time, I would gain weight even with exercise.

Looking forward to getting to know some of you, we can help each other stay where we worked so hard to get.
