Welcome to the team SBates63!

SP suggests a 5 lb range for maintenance so really you have been maintaining. I prefer 2-3 lbs myself.

I have been using the Calorie Differential from My Reports to learn how much to eat vs how many calories I am burning.

We all do whatever works. You can do it!!

I've noticed that my weight can vary up to 5 lbs. in a day. That's why you should NOT be weighing yourself more than once a week. The scale is only one measurement and probably not the best one to use. It's all about calories in and calories out whether you are trying to lose, maintain or even gain. Keep up the combination of good nutrition and exercise and your body will respond.
If you get stuck at a plateau, change up your exercise routine a bit and keep drinking plenty of water.

Welcome Stephanie , sometimes our weight does very 10 pounds but usually our goal weight ends up yo-yo around 5 pounds I suspect you are very close. Just keep yourself on the same food and only allow yourself to deviate so that you can maintain. There is lots of support here if you need or want it. I come back and check in every so often but so far I have maintained around 119 lbs since last September. Good luck. You have done so well so far.

I do know that a range around my goal is OK. But sometime my clothes tell me there's more fat around my middle. That's when I start cracking down again. Sometimes it feel like I need the pressure of having to lose again. I have been concerned about my weight for most of my life, so it's hard to change. Twenty years ago, I was 110 pounds (at least) heavier than now, and have slowly lost since then. Glad to be on this team. Can't wait to have a bit more time to read all the posts and catch up with you all.

Congratulations and welcome to a great support team. I think of my goal as a five pound range around it. Did you know your weight can vary by up to 2 lbs. a day? Remember to use other measures as well. How do you feel? How do your clothes fit? What does the tape measure say?

Lost 65 lbs and maintained since 2006.

I'm Stephanie and I live in Ontario, Canada. I have been circling my goal weight for a year and I'm tired of getting there, gaining 5 pounds, losing it again and so on. I am on another downward kick and with your help I plan to make this the last one.
