Hi!
So glad I found this group! I find there is lots of support for those actively losing, not so much for us maintainers.
A little about me:
I am a Weight Watchers Lifetime Member, maintaining below my weight goal for 7 years.
Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Welcome to the At Goal and Maintaining Team! Looks like you've gotten lots of good advice already. The only thing I've got to add is as long as you don't give up, you will succeed. The key is never throw in the towel. Keep on keeping on.

I am far from perfect, but I keep working on progress, not perfection. Even 15 months after reaching my initial goal weight, I'm still working to improve my eating as well as achieve even more fitness goals.

Again, welcome. So glad you have joined us!

Everyone basically says the same. The key to staying at goal is continue tracking, weighing and measuring and exercising. This was not a diet and now we can go back to eating the way we did. This is a lifestyle change. This will be the way we will eat the rest of our lives. Yes we can add a few treats here and there, more often than before, but we need to be viligent on all the other pillers of our maintenance plan. Congratulations on reaching goal and much success in maintaining.

Welcome to the team. Tracking food and maintaining an exercise routine have been helpful so far for me. Best wishes on your maintenance.

Welcome. Glad you have joined our team. It is all about FEWS, that is fuel(food), exercise, water and sleep.

Track your food. Run your nutrition report every day. I recommend you track all 75 nutrients that SP can track.

Exercise is about cardio and strength training. If you don't already do strength training (I didn't before I came to SP) let SparkPeople generate you a program. 2 days of upper body, 2 of lower body and 2 of abs works well. After 4 months of that, I joined a gym.

Water - track your 8 glasses a day.

Sleep - add as other goal. Go for 8 hours a day.

Be sure to log in. Read lots of articles - get good info and get points. Set up your own page. Choose some friends. Be active on teams. Join a challenge or 2 or 10.

Again, welcome. SparkPeople is a great place to become healthier!! -Marsha

Hi and welcome.

We all find our own ways of working towards better health. For me it was using SP to find my personal formula of a recommended calorie intake range and exercise targets and then using the SP tracking tools to make sure that I applied them.

Joining teams and finding friends has been hugely important and I wish that I'd created my Sparkpage and joined in the community earlier. Reading and writing blogs has kept me motivated and given me a lot more understanding of what I'm doing.

This team is mainly but by no means exclusively for people who have already reached their goals so it's a good place to be motivated by people who have already been successful with SP and a very good idea to use the message boards here. You're very welcome here and your message gives us all a chance to reflect on what has worked for us so that we keep on track with maintaining.

Good luck.
