Hola,
I am new to this team and looking forward to getting to know everyone and picking up tips for success in staying at goal. I believe the battle to stay at goal is just as hard as loosing the weight. I live in Ajijic, Mexico and don't have many of the convenient food choices that many of you might have in your stores for things like low fat/calorie foods...so there is much work involved in preparing things to eat.
Hope everyone is having a great Sunday.
Sallie

emoticon A warm welcome to the team and congratulations on your weight loss. You are setting a great example for your children as well as doing this for yourself.

Many of us found the change from losing to maintaining a bit challenging at first and this team has been a great help and support to me.

Finding new goals, as you have done, is an important part of keeping focused. Being vigilant is probably the key to maintaining.

Good luck!

Welcome, LisaW! Congrats on achieving your weight goal. You are smart to now focus on fitness goals. If you can lose, you can maintain. The idea of forever can be scarey, but just take it one day, one meal, one minute at a time. You do the same things you did losing (assuming you did it wise and healthy) just with a little more food.

Glad you are here! -Marsha

Congratulations on your success!
You have a lot of family responsibilities and I am sure stress goes along with that.
You are right that maintenance is a totally different mindset than losing weight. It is a gradual process to change that mindset.
You will find lots of tips and support here.

Congrats on your success! I know how hard it is to change your body composition, but it is a worthy goal. :-)

Reached my goal November 2009!

emoticon Glad to have you here! It is a great choice for a team. You are so right that a maintenance mind set is a little different from a weight loss mind set. Having company along the way helps with that, too.

Congratulations on your loss and reaching your goal. Here's to staying there and continuing to gain fitness!

Hi! I am 33 years old and have three children; 4.5 year old daughter and 20 month old boy/girl twins. I also work full time outside the home.

I recently reached my goal weight about a month ago. While I am happy with my weight, I still want to improve my fitness level and body shape. I just celebrated my one year Spark-iversary and have lost 60 pounds and 18% body fat.

I have found it challenging to move out of the "lose weight" mentality, but I don't want to become complacent and gain the weight back! I am hoping joining a maintenance team will help!

Thanks!
