Although I have already welcomed you, I want to reinforce what "OldMom" said. I love tracking my nutrition and my exercise. It really keeps me motivated to maintain and helps me feel in control of food instead of food in control of me.

Lost 65 lbs and maintained since 2006.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I plan on continuing to be very involved at SP. I will continue to track my foods and my exercise as well as collecting spark points and blogging. I think these things will keep me on track and help me keep the weight off this time.

Welcome, Chris, and congrats on your news from the doctor. emoticon See me raising my hand? I, too, have had trouble "maintaining" in the past. I do great for a while, then something happens and I seem to lose my steam. I think it really helps to have like-minded people around to support each other in this different motivational challenge!

What good news from your doctor! You will love this team- it is very active and informative. Maintaining can be just as challenging as weight loss, but I've found that with daily exersize and staying in my suggested caloric range, I can still enjoy treats (sometimes cakes, pizzas and fried foods) without gaining an ounce.

Most importantly, remember that you've made a lifestyle change and that you're a healthier person. You will do great! Welcome to the team.

Currently maintaining 120 to 125 pounds for nearly a year!

Saw my doctor today and she told me she doesn't want me to lose much more weight. So I have adjusted my goal weight and I am only a few pounds from goal. That gives me about 10 less pounds to lose than I thought that I needed to lose.

I guess now I have to figure out how to maintain the loss which is why I joined this team.

At this point I am barely losing weight. I lose maybe about 0.4 pounds each week. So I am almost just maintaining already. So I guess I can eat a little more and keep exercising to see how that works. I hope to learn a lot from this team. I have never been successful in the past when it comes to keeping the weight off. This time it will be different.
