I'm afraid I don't have much advice as I just reached my goal weight this week, but I intend to keep using SparkPeople to keep me on track to a healthier lifestyle.
It is hard finding time to track results, but you're right that it will help you. I track in morning (for breakfast, lunch and snacks during the weekdays) and then again after work for dinner and exercise. I guess it's the same as exercise - you need to make time for you.
