I agree that perseverance and focus are needed, but I also appreciated support for those around me and/or rewards. I loved putting the $5 in the envelope for each pound and I will admit to counting it frequently when I was losing. Now I love to look at the way my clothes fit.

Lost 65 lbs and maintained since 2006.

Hi Welcome,
Your journey towards your goal is typical of many cases, including mine.
Motivation, demotivation and hitting plateau are all part of this journey.
Need is perseverence and focus.
All the best.

Welcome! I had been at goal for almost three years when I broke my leg, by the time I was mobile again, the holidays were around the corner and before I knew it I was up 20 lbs. I started at New Year's and slowly worked by to and below goal. Adding work with a personal trainer helped with fitness that I can do at home and helped keeps me on track.

Lost 65 lbs and maintained since 2006.

Hi there and welcome. It's a good idea to join this team for the motivation that you'll find here now and also to prepare for the next stage of controlling your weight.Like many others, I've 'stuck' for a while at plateaux and then after ages the weight has dropped a few pounds quite suddenly even though I didn't think I was doing anything differently. Sometimes you just have to do the best you can while your body adjusts - knowing that the alternative is to stop trying and gain all the weight back. Good luck and congratulations on taking positive action even though you must have been very frustrated.

Welcome to the team, and thank you for writing. I am within my goal range, but I can see the scale going up ever so slightly each day. I have been under stress getting all the holiday things done prior to traveling and have not been diligent about what I eat and getting enough exercise. Your letter has motivated me to get back on track. I hope this group will motivate you in a similar way. Have confidence that you can be where you want to be on the fitness scale. -- Anne

Welcome to the team!

If you desire to get back to the 140's, I would recommend restarting the Spark Program, starting with Stage 1.

If you're happy where you are - then WTG!

Hugs,
Linda

That happens a lot. Someday you will get the motivation to go all the way to goal. Meanwhile, you are stablized, which is really good!

then I gained a little back. But was still in the 140's for months. It's crept up to where I am today and I've been stuck here for well over a year. I think this is a good team for me to join and am looking forward to chatting with you all.

I can do it!!
