In my case, it's by not depriving myself. I never eliminated some of the things that you say you still avoid... I ate ice cream, and chocolate, and pizza, and wings all through my weight loss journey. The key is, though, that I learned to eat them in moderation, and only have them occasionally. By doing that, it's been a lot easier to maintain... I am never tempted to binge, because I never deprived myself in the first place. The only thing that changed for me was an increase in my calorie range. :D
Healthy food does not have to be tasteless... give your spice rack a workout! :D
(I have to say, a couple spoonfuls of honey is way better than a fistful of HFCS-filled cookies!)
