Actually, that 2-5 lb yo-yo is COMPLETELY NORMAL! :D
I recommend "allowing" yourself a 5-lb range. To try to stay at the exact same number is utterly impossible... so getting nervous or worried about a 2- or 3-lb fluctuation is a real drag on your mental well-being. I wouldn't sweat it... but if you go above the upper end of your range, then it's time to step back and take a look at what you're doing. :)
