Problem is my maintenance weight is 140 and I'm still going to weight Watchers once a month for lifetimer weigh-in and if I go 2 lbs. above (142) I have to pay.

Wow... no pressure there to be perfect. Oy. *rolleyes*

LOL!

Thank you all so much for the encouragement!!! I sure need it!!!!!! Your right I should relax more with this yo-yo syndrome!! Problem is my maintenance weight is 140 and I'm still going to weight Watchers once a month for lifetimer weigh-in and if I go 2 lbs. above (142) I have to pay. So far, so good!! I haven't had to pay!! So I guess I'll just keep tracking and not worry so much!!

Haven't been feeling so well today with this Candida and my GERD (Acid Reflux) is acting up bad today. Awful heartburn!! Hopefully I'll start feeling better soon with this Candida diet food I'm on!! I did go down 2 lbs!! So thats a plus!!

Would like to be at 135 so I have a little room to play with so to speak!!

Hi Sylvia & Little LuLu - welcome!

After over a year maintaining, I'm still tracking my food. I realized that I'm the type of person who may always need that kind of accountability so... it works for me. Perhaps, if you want to try, you can give it a go after the holidays and see how you do.

Welcome to the team Sylvia!!!

I'm "stuggling" with my first one of those "normal" flucuations!!! I am at the top end of my range today after being at the very bottom just 10 days ago. I am adding some more activity and water as well as cutting out the late evening snacking!!! Hopefully, that will bring me back down a couple pounds with some added leeway for the upcoming events!!!

Anyway, welcome to maintenance!!! LOL!!!

Thank you all for the wonderful welcomes and words of encouragement. I really like the idea of staying in a range the number on the scale so mine will be 115-119 and won't worry about the fluctuations:)

I can tell this team will be great to share ideas and tips.

Thanks all and looking forward to getting to know you, virtually:)

Welcome ETOILA!

Actually, that 2-5 lb yo-yo is COMPLETELY NORMAL! :D

I recommend "allowing" yourself a 5-lb range. To try to stay at the exact same number is utterly impossible... so getting nervous or worried about a 2- or 3-lb fluctuation is a real drag on your mental well-being. I wouldn't sweat it... but if you go above the upper end of your range, then it's time to step back and take a look at what you're doing. :)

I'm totally happy with being between 147 and 152. That's my range. :)

On a strict diet of eggs, fish chicken and salad and Almond milk ONLY! I have to stay on this for two weeks then start adding veggies gradually and latter fruit and carbs very slowly. A BIG ATTA GIRL Sylvia for your new challenge, we all felt the same way at first. I continue to keep very active on Sparks, I feel this is my crutch. Have maintained since June 07. Each week I become more confident. I feel it's a small price to pay for all the benefits of my NEW healthy lifestyle. Great Spark page and pictures. Skeeter

emoticon Kat to the wonderful, scary world of maintenance. I think each of us has set ourselves a range in which we feel OK - for me I've given myself about 10 lbs until I find just the right weight where I feel truly comfortable - right now I'm a bit low but thought this time of year it was better to be too low than too high and this gives me more leeway. I still track my food most days - perhaps not every meal but still track because it helps to keep me accountable to myself but each of us is different. You will find lots of support here - and encouragement and hope - we can do this! Jenna

You have done great!!

You are definitely on the right track - every time I stop tracking food for more than a week I see the number get bigger... fortunately, it goes up only a few ounces at a time, so it is not hard to get back on track to keep it where you want it. Hardest for me is this time of year... there are so many temptations about in this very social season! I'm still not worried - even if I gain a few in the next few weeks, I will get 'back on the wagon' in January and get back where I want to be.

Good luck to you!!

Hello everyone,
I'm new to this team since I just reached my goal:) I'm so thrilled but also worried about maintaining my hard earned number on the scale. I want to be below 120 consistently so I guess being between 115-119 would be ideal. I'm still tracking my food everyday since that is so important for me in terms of accountability. I'm hoping to learn from you so that I will not gain the pounds back....I'm happy with my new clean eating habits and really knowing portion control so I hope maintaining won't be an issue. Nevertheless, it is a new "scarry" kind of feeling.

Anytips and suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Learn more about me on my sparkpage:)

Thanks
