Try putting one your t-shirts in her crate so she will think you are close to her. Good luck it does break your heart to hear our babies be sad.

You helped as I was thinking about the music thing. Mandy doesn't stay in the room, she's spoiled. I also was thinking about nature sounds, I have one of those thingies here somewhere. Just gotta remember where. It's been said that "white noise" helps babies sleep so why not dogs, they are my babies..... emoticon

You might try a portable radio near the crate or, if she has bonded with Mandy, can you keep Mandy in the same room without actually crating her?
Sorry I'm not much help, my last puppies were litter mates so I didn't have to worry about them at night.

Hi Everybody

My oldest girl is Mandy a rescue from around 6yrs ago. Even though I must say she rescued me! emoticon

Ten days ago I rescued an adorable puppy and named her Pixie "Dust". I was going to name her Tink after my favorite Disney character but decided on her fairy dust instead. She is five months young ;)

My question is; I have her in the middle of crate training & she is doing great but just howls & cries so bad when I put her in at night. I have never kept Mandy in a crate as she was two yrs old when I got her. Should I buy another crate & keep it next to Pixie's and put Mandy in there at night?

Will appreciate any advice or help of any kind as it just breaks my heart to hear her.

God Bless
