. Freshman 20 (though I think Freshman is a misnomer) is so frequent I applaud you for being proactive enough to think and plan ahead. The one thing that helped me was the walking on the campus. I would have my favorite lunch spot but it was a 15 minute walk back to the building I had my next class. At least it is walking and mine was uphill.
Look at those steps and I'm sure you are going to do great; and as someone already said you can adopt our dogs virtually until you get out of the dorms and can bring Abby with you.
Enjoy your journey!

Kay and to the team. You can share our dogs untill you can go home to yours. I have a Tricolor collie, Radar and an oversized yellow lab, Sundance. I know I would miss them terribly if I were away. Good luck on your journey. Wliberty

Hey! I am new to sparkpeople, and i don't know if this is the right place for me really... I have a dog at home, but I am currently at college a state away from her :( I live in the dorms so she was not able to come with me. Although I would love to have tried to bring her! She would love all the attention! Her name is Abby, and she is a yellow lab. My goals on here are just to stay healthy and keep my current weight. I eat in the school cafeteria, and making wise food choices can be difficult! Anyway, it is good to be here! Hope to meet a few of you soon! K
