SP is great for motivation - the articles are very informative. I started at 56 and am more healthy and lost over 30 lbs so far. It is doable. When you follow the plan that SP set up for you - it will work for you. Be diligent to do it - track your calories, watch your portions, and exercise - it must be a new life style and not a diet mentality. It will work for you

This isn't the first time I've tried to lose weight, and like many people, I've been temporarily successful, even maintaining for a few years at a time. However, it's become harder over the years, and now my weight is making it hard to enjoy a lot of my favorite activities--hiking on hilly trails, biking, even getting up off the floor are difficult.
I'll be 50 next May, and I want to meet that milestone in great health, ready for an active and fun chapter of my life. I love my daughter, my job (teaching preschoolers and their parents,) my partner, my four cats, reading, gardening, cooking and listening to music.
More than anything, I feel like it's easy to start, but hard to keep going--I'm hoping this website, which seems great, will help me stay enthused and keep trying for the long haul.
